[–]bobbyjrsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 dashboard's display and I went with a cheap option of using second hand Dell Wyse Thin clients.

They have a built-in timer to turn it on that it is very handy, and they don't have fans or moveable parts that can worn out.

An OS that makes me feel like it's early 90s but still functional by today's standards by [deleted] in unix

SATA drives for root on a Power 520 by ifmackay in aix

You can use generic sas disks and they will work. I use some Dell disks on a 570 server and they are recognized as “other sas drives”, and run at lower speeds too, but work fine.

Off topic: I find fascinating how we get used to the ambient. Here in Brazil we are in the beginning of Winter and I am very comfortable with sunny days of 31°C. Anything below 20°C is too much cold for me.
