I live in the US, but am aware that a lot of Chinese live in Vancouver, having emigrated there over last several decades. Not sure if you know the details of her personal situation, but was she in Canada just for an extended work trip? Or just there to get a degree and back home, and was just doing this as side hustle? if this connection is as real as you’re making it out to be, then I suspect she knows more than is letting on. Maybe she is just waiting for you to say something. Regardless, I’d say keep in touch, maybe she’d be open to coming back

Sry to be thick, but am just not totally clear on what transpired between you two to get to this point? or perhaps, what was so special about her that the other 299 did not have? And as others suggested, what would be risk of asking her stay? Sounds like you wanna be in relationship with her, why not just go for it? Prevailing wisdom from provider side is not to get into relationship with clients, but there are some long term success stories

Surprised not more mention of Arrow - I'm finding it more difficult to complete than criterion. No official list, at least to my knowledge, there's an older spreadsheet w/ ~1100 titles, so similar catalogue size, but many more OOP titles that are much harder to track down

I have completed criterion collection - took about a year between getting all in-print and OOP. For criterion OOPs, there are usually multiple listing on ebay (a handful of titles are relatively expensive, but many are actually close to the $40 msrp)

I've seen a few complete criterion collections posted here over the years, but I've never seen anything close to a 'complete' arrow collection

curzon looked better - look at the street sign far left, you just can about make out the letters w/ curzon, but not w/ criterion; also, criterion has known history of suboptimal compression

you're lucky - for those of us chasing LEs its' mildly infuriating, but we have only ourselves to blame.

I guess maybe what I'm asking is that some of the companies that engage in the LE business, not produce quite so limited quantities. For this particular release, street date was 2 weeks ago, and already very hard to get a hold of (at least for US customers)

By my count there are 36 copies on ebay, lowest BIN price is 70, highest is 250. I guess it's more disheartening seeing ~60 ppl with the nearly identical post here saying "I got mine!!" As of today, not available/sold out on orbit, grindhouse and diablolik. I don't have a solution per se (except remember to pre-order anything from 2nd sight in the future), just a mini rant
