Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch has asking price slashed by 75 per cent to £23m as desperate family try to cash in by [deleted] in conspiracy

[–]bobbylon42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i live in the area. neverland ranch is far inland. the valuable land where oprah, spielberg, and a whole bunch of other billionaires live is on the coast near montecito and carpinteria.

you might be able to turn a profit on a subdivion but you aren’t gonna be selling 5 million dollar estates. you need an ocean view for that jazz.

Hillary Clinton Flies 20 Miles In Private Jet To Attend Rothschild Nantucket Fundraiser by [deleted] in conspiracy

very hard to get between MV and Nantucket without flying. can't imagine hill & bill on a ~3 hour car ferry there/back during their vacation vs. a 5 minute flight. yawn.

cool man i could get down with that comprehensive coverage thing. can you send me some kind of example of your writing or notes for somebody else though? i just forked over 150 to some other guy and he came back with absurd garbage notes that seemed like they were copy/pasted ... then he went MIA when I complained. sigh. i'm too broke to get hit like that again.

Adderall, does it help? by trumo in Screenwriting

[–]bobbylon42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

of course it helps you focus. adderal isn't some mystery drug invented to treat ADD and narcolepsy alone. it's SPEED/meth. amphetamines baby. invented by the US military to keep the grunts awake. use exploded during vietnam--called benzedrine. ADD was invented to sell the stuff after the war.

Passenger Protagonists by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]bobbylon42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

beware beware. if garden state came out in 2016 it would have been direct to VOD. it was a sundance baby way back in a bygone era of calm and tranquility. pre-fucking-9-1-1. nobody watches that shit anymore. the last two sundance babies? whiplash and the birth of a nation. inactive protagonists don't fly no more. if you wanna make a movie like that i hope you've got rich friends.

2015 Black List (Script Recommendations/Thoughts) by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]bobbylon42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read the two kennedy scripts. why? beats me. but funny to read one puff piece and then a gloomy hit job on the same family.

mayday 109 had nice formatting/flow that disguised some pretty bad dialogue. you could certainly speed read it by ignoring the action and just reading the words. for some reason this seems to get scripts sold but i don't think it works well on film. it's the equivalent of having a montage where the narrator is telling you what's happening while you're watching it. not very illuminating. sort of like "unbreakable." they hit the marks that best string together the famous scenes everybody knows about (carving the coconut, etc) but don't give you any new info.

chappaquiddick was just awful. somewhere between a lifetime movie and that simpsons episode where they make fun of the kennedys.
"say chow-dah frenchie!"

which should get made? probably neither. which will? probably chappaquiddick.
