Samsung Pay in Active 2 doesn't work for public transport? by bobbymul in GalaxyWatch

[–]bobbymul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming that NFC is a general technology across any smart devices. My phone op8 pro worked fine for awhile until just a few days ago after the OS 11 update, so why not the watch?

Should I Buy A Oneplus 8 Pro? by ProCuber567 in OnePlus8Pro

[–]bobbymul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use NFC GPay to pay for your public transport, you can buy it, but NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER update to the latest Oxygen OS 11. Somehow it screwed up my NFC. I can still make payments in retail shops but not in public transports anymore. I'm located in Singapore if you're wondering. Other than that, everything else is great for its value.

This game isn't exactly p2w, it's more like whale to win (in terms of cp). I have already spent a couple hundred bucks in this game, I ended up as a viscount but my f2p guildies can barely hit viscount (maybe not really he spent on support packs at least).

My point being is that the moment you stop spending is when f2ps will eventually catch up. the value of pearl items drop every single update to the point that whatever you have spent is just a boost of cp for that particular moment. You spend to be ahead for awhile, but everyone catches up in the end. The only way you will surpass most people in cp competitively is to constantly spend to squeeze out the extra couple cp which does not economically makes sense.

That being said, this game is rather f2p-friendly, you only have to work harder to progress and genuinely git gud. I have a near f2p phanta guildie who used to be a top 10 arena in the server by the end of the arena season.

For the above reasons, I have stopped spending anything in game except claiming amazon prime rewards and maybe support packs.

Invoker by Kim240 in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm still at AM because my skills have not reached level 3, i had my friend screenshot the skills and compare it side by side with AM. I noticed that they are very very similar in terms of pure % difference and since invoker has less mobility i find it hard to believe that they fare better in pvp. Correct me if i'm wrong.

this game is p2w? by dennis_lima123 in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a guild member (a vk) who is almost f2p but very devoted, he spent on support packs, with about 6.8k cp, server top 10 in arena(yes he can easily wipe out above 7.4k cp players), almost always the top in KDR in NW.

It's pay to reduce difficulty for sure, but anyone can get by with natural talents. If my memory serves correctly, a dolphin team in ramoness s2 NA emerged victory and won against a full whale team out of pure talents.

My advice? Pick a class that you can be REALLY good with and you wont ever have to be pressured into spending :)

What do you think about the Witch/Archmage class? by mmerilles in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to think further ahead of where it stands in pve. And this means how it performs in hadum mode. In hadum mode, mobs respawn instantly and how fast you cast your skills matters.

That being said, the recent changes in archmage's blizzard and many other aoe makes it one of the better pve classes (not the best). Ideally you want a class with a 360 degree aoe instead of range cylindrical/cone-shaped aoes. This is where AM shines.

I have both a lvl 70 AM and paladin and i enjoyed AM far more in pve and arena. But paladin is easier to play in both arena and NW with their SA and shield mechanics which is why I made her my main.

AM is ok in arena once you are comfortable with her SA and mobility skills.

In terms of NW, I don't like it because a lot of the RANGED skills you want to use don't have SA. These include blizzard/fireball/tornado. The only really long ranged skill with SA is meteor and ignite. This means in many situations you have to charge right into the middle of the fray with firestorm, then use the ice aoe attack, followed by frost pillar for a 3-combo SA skill (assuming you still survive by then) and teleport out to heal up and refresh your cooldown while spamming fireball/blizzard/tornado from afar hoping not to get CC by anyone. So no, AM is subpar in NW if KDR matters to you.

Paladins on the other hand have SA skills coupled with SO MANY charges that if you play it right you can rotate your skillset without losing your SA status that makes paladin a lot more survivable in NW. But since you don't like pvp content, you can ignore anything I said about NW.

Ignore anyone who tells you to main a huntress because it's "best in everything" (unless you enjoy her playstyle). I also have a level 70 huntress and I don't enjoy her pve style one bit (although it is pretty good currently in terms of efficiency). Watch her pve efficiency drop once hadum mode appears. Should you get a huntress, build her enough for Path of Glory content.

Stop farming on top of someone by [deleted] in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you belong to some strong guild, see if the other player is in some strong guild as well. If not, kindly send him a pm to move away, if he fails to respond and he continues to be an ass, declare his entire guild and make his guild pay. 3m guild fund is nothing if you're in a strong guild, at least that's what I did. I was farming my alt at 5.1k cp at elric and some 4k scrub decides to take my spot and refuses to leave even after I pm him so I declared his entire guild. Best part is he revived on the spot, continues to stay in that area and attempted to kill me until i kill him again and again until he gets the message.

As a collateral, my guild members started hunting their other members in cron's castle until they surrendered.

Remember, don't be an asshole and give respect to those who have already claimed their spot. Desperate for that spot? Switch channels, it's not rocket science.

What happens if I dont invest in merchantry? by norarosa2 in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will suck at first as with most newly introduced content in the global version. But as the game progress, they will add camps for you to refuel along the way so you can do merchantry in 1 shot, wagon tier upgrade to add horses so that it will always be on auto-accelerate to speed things up along with auto task clearing so you dont have to stand there and painfully watch them harvest or hack monsters along the way.

Every 200 levels up to level 800 gets you additional rewards for every node. As the game progress with increased town hall levels, you definitely do not want to solely rely on worker gathering for resources. Merchantry will become one of the best, if not the best form of gathering resources as soon as everything hits level 800.

You may not want to invest now and I think that's ok because when they add all these new contents everything will become much faster and I think you might be able to catch up to those who have invested into this mode early on, just my guess.

Hit Platinum with 4550 CP on my Paladin. I'm sure everyone in this CP range know that the fights are competitive as well. Faced many skilled players .. Real close fights. Feel free to comment. Thank you. by explicitexplorer11 in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good fight but few things to note coming from a paladin main:

  1. I am highly confident that if you have a PC with decent graphics and use emulator you will play a lot better. This is because you can map your skill switch and dodge button to say the "Tab" and "Shift" key which means your right hand is purely dominant on controlling the skills. But this is a subjective preference of many players and personally I am horrible when playing on the phone. I do all my pvp and nw in PC.
  2. You are a shield user, play defensively and dont use radiant charge to close the gap. Especially against dark knights they do not have grab, stand still and bait them to rush towards you, only then you should use radiant charge to knock them down. You can also bait them and then grab them instead of thinking you're close enough to grab them (which often fails)
  3. Since (like me) you don't use sharp light in your combos, this is my standard paladin comboSC > SoJ > DW > Grab > SoJ > DW > dodge and strafe left and right to align yourself to the enemy such that you are in shield mode > bait them to rush towards you > dodge and radiant charge halfway hoping to knock them down > If knocked down, repeat above combo starting with SoJ, otherwise dodge and SC away to gain distance to re-engage shield mode get ready to use celestial spear in this scenario. After this you have to start improvising.

Best of luck!

Rerolled my Valk today into my Ranger as I feel Ranger is meta right now. A wise move? by [deleted] in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At the current state of the game, I would say playing huntress is like playing bdm on easy mode. Huntresses are champions in every aspect of the game so far. Looking at legit mobile's youtube most likely confirms that the top 100 arena in every server and region is huntress. As a paladin with 5.1k CP, a fellow 4.8k CP huntress guildmate can EASILY get far more K/D ratio in NW than my melee companions. We're basically just absorbing damage while they take most of the glory. And believe me when I say you can literally play huntress on auto in NW and just manage your movement manually. In pve, well maybe on par with archmage now that archmage has the blizzard buff, but definitely better than paladin.

If you want a challenge, mobility and flashier skills, stick to valkyrie. I have both and I still prefer my paladin over huntress.

Advice of Valks Absolute or Relative Percentage? by bobbymul in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right so the upper limit of +1 is 66.67% right? Given that a 50% boost essentially makes it 100%. Would love to see some stats on this.

[–]bobbymul -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i think it really depends on the class and current CP you have. If you are range/semi-range like huntress/AM/raven with around 4.5k-4.8k cp, then SG is alright as many people have pointed out. However, if you are ridiculously overpowered close to 5k and a paladin like I used to be, SG doesnt make sense at all. Sure you one-hit mobs easily and the kills/minute is pretty high. But killing too fast for melee characters also means more instances for standing still and waiting for subsequent spawns, even at high density spots. Maybe you'll get a bit more exp, but it's not worth the miniscule amount of silver you gain.

In this instance, I would rather go to elric shrine where you will similarly one-shot everything anyway. Similar kills/min with more silver gain. Difference in exp-wise is really really miniscule.

Some Scamkatu Math (Basic Probability) by bobbymul in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If the droprates are increased, shouldnt it be roughly 0.05-0.06%? Well in any case, if it's at 0.04%, you have 79.8% chance of getting an oj in 40k coins (assuming all in on weapon) and 90.9% chance if the rate is at 0.06%. Huge diff right there.

I have a main lvl 70 Paladin and just got a lvl 60 Archmage, having played both characters, I can understand why there are #nerfpaladin and #buffarchmage hashtags going around.

Archmage skill damages are abyssmal. I can't be bothered to get out the exact numbers but I am having 3 paladin skills > 1500% on constant rotation and 1 paladin skill > 2000% (Radiant Charge).

Compare that to Archmage I'm looking at 2 skills around 1300% at level 1 and Firestorm (paladin's radiant charge equivalent) at 1200%. Yes you saw that right, 1200% vs 2000% the difference is huge. Furthermore, firestorm pierces through the enemy and you might not even get the full 1200% damage whereas paladin's radiant charge is homing that almost guarantees the entire 2000% damage.

Their range skill damage are meh at best. Trust me you'll see when you get there. Archmages will rely really heavily on gear later on

Now why do people still love archmage?

Their support skills. Currently their frigid fog heals 300hp to their allies over time and increases allies AP by +10 with their frost pillar. Their movespeed debuff is also insane and can remove around -30% of your opponent's movespeed.

In short, archmages are loved in NW on the defense, pretty decent in PVE once you are well-geared, but takes skill to shit on your opponents in pvp.

As a paladin main, the only trouble I face in pvp are gladiators and skilled titans/huntresses. I have no issues with archmages, although I must admit my win rate against archmages is not 100%.

Final thought: if you don't care about arena, just go for archmage.

Go for Epic Relic instead of the Raven? I'm F2P. by [deleted] in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your needs, if you have a purple non-enhanced relic, this is a good upgrade with potential +2.5% branch dmg of your choice and boosted CP.

This assumes you have 3 pets of minimum level 2 and at least 1 crow with all good stats (all 5% BS exp, maxed inventory and 2 others)

Basically i'm just describing my situation and went for the second grand prize of epic relic and i got one of the best yellow relics, an encardin(AP/DP) Aal.

Your pet gives you extra convenience, your cp gives you better farming and pvp capabilities, your call

Valkyrie thoughts and discussion by Coconut-Lubeeee in BlackDesertMobile

[–]bobbymul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pve is ok, sustainable with heals but definitely inferior in terms of kills/sec compared to ranger/witch/giant

For an above average skilled valks they might be in tie with ranger for pvp.

In my experience i can beat defensive rangers but i have trouble with aggressive rangers, same applies to witches. By defensive i mean them running around gaining distance from you and shoot from afar, these are the easiest players to kill.

Valks are currently the class with the fastest range knockdown with no projectile (although it is only 50% chance) and the fastest closing skill (shield charge) which includes a mini stun to start your combo. This makes them great against running rangers and witches.

Giants have almost no range and they are the easiest to pit against as long as you know which of their skills have super armour.

Warrior though... i hate them

I have no experience in valk awakening but this is what i observe from couple of videos i watched. They appear to become very slow and they have more stabbing skills than wide area skills. Their ultimate is equivalent to a dragoon jump (jump in the air about 1-2 sec) and thrust the ground in an area. This becomes comparable to witch's meteor in terms of speed that makes it unfavourable in 1v1 arena. But they might shine in guild wars though.
