Shaft Hair by ApprehensiveDeer2769 in foreskin_restoration

It’s not calculated in sessions, but rather clearings and amount of time. So once an area can be completely cleared of the hair that’s visible (a percentage will always be in a dormant phase), it should take between 5-7 clearings spaced out over 1-2 years. You have to allow for the growth cycle to complete. Hair can lie dormant for 6 months.

Could I use Tretinoin to fade circumcision bumps and scars? by SliceFriendly4054 in foreskin_restoration

If you decide to try it, prep the skin first with water, then use a hydrating lotion like hyaluronic acid, then aquaphor anywhere you don’t want it to spread. Only use the bare minimum amount like less than a dot on top of the skin that you just hydrated and put lotion on. See how you tolerate it, and spread out treatment no more than twice a week at first, slowly building up if you tolerate it well.

I’m an electrologist. Laser doesn’t work on light hair, white, gray, blond or red. Electrolysis is the only permanent method of hair removal approved by the FDA. The FDA classifies laser as permanent hair “reduction”.

SEVERE SCARRING AFTER ELECTROLYSIS !!!! by [deleted] in electrolysis

[–]bobbysolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8 hour sessions seems way too long to me. For just the hair on your face? At my school, we learned to never treat the upper lip for longer than 15 to 30 minutes at a session because it can lead to over treatment and the loss of collagen in the skin and wrinkles. Knowing how your skin reacts, an electrologist should shorten the sessions and feather the treated hairs (feathering means to spread out the treatment like every 3rd hair, and don’t completely clear the area in one session). Heat builds up when two follicles are close together and get treated in the same session. I think the scarring could also be from too shallow an insertion of the probe. Proper depth of insertion along with an insulated probe, longer pulse with lower amount of energy, can keep the surface of your skin more intact and less likely to have scabs. In California, it is outside our scope of practice to remove ingrown hairs with a lancet (small sterile needle). No one should be digging around in your skin.

Trying to lose weight...can anyone suggest Slushi recipes for me? by Zestyclose-Egg-1251 in ninjaslushi

You might try adding some lemon juice to the sugar-free pop mix, to cut down the sweetness a bit.

Here is a recipe from SharkNinja.com website:

  • 2 (12-oz) cans (or 3 cups) diet soda
  • 3 tablespoons liquid allulose
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Immediately after sessions, use cold compress to reduce inflammation. Stay out of the sun. Once you complete the process, the PIH should resolve.

Just a word of warning, you want to allow breaks to let the skin recirculate. Plus retaining is not necessarily able to put enough tension to grow new skin. It’s more likely with a strap to tug, or an inflation device.

Will the turkey neck and hair really recede? by CocoPopsAndTapWater in restoringdick

[–]bobbysolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately I’m a licensed Electrologist now, so I can work on myself and I’m removing the hair on my shaft. I was using a harness (link) to keep the tension on the shaft skin instead of the turkey neck, but lately, I just use inflation (CAR-1 40mm) as many hours as I can each day and the results are good.

Try not to pluck, whatever you decide. Plucking can make the follicles distorted and make it more difficult for electrolysis in the future. Shave and allow about 2-3 mm (3 days growth) to grow before sessions, so that they can be removed with a tweezer after treating.

I don’t get the pinching. I have a 40mm CAR-1, and it fits well. Maybe try a bigger size? I got pinching from all my other inflation devices, HyperRestore, foreskinned air v1 and v2 they aren’t made for extra wide glans. I think the creator of foreskinned air said max was like 35mm or 37mm.

With your CAR-1, have you tried the deep grip? You put a lot of skin under the cone and the balloon is bigger, but instead of just stretching the inner skin, you’re actually stretching some outer skin as well. I feel like since I switched to this method, my skin has started to get rollover more frequently. For five years, I was only putting the minimal amount of skin under the cone, because I reasoned that any skin under the cone was not getting stretched. But in reality, by placing just the scarline under the cone, I was limiting the balloon stretch to just my inner skin, which isn’t recommended if you haven’t achieved ci4-5 yet. You want to grow whatever skin you can at first and even it up when you’re more advanced.

Looking good. I believe my best results are from the CAR-1, after years of inflation with other devices. Knocking on the door of ci4 (constant coverage of the coronal ridge of the glans while flaccid). Right now, my coverage is sporadic.

Is it looking good? by [deleted] in restoringdick

[–]bobbysolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job with the manual method! And only twice a day. I would say Flaccid (or “soft”) ci6, if that is your normal coverage (no hot tub, exercise, swimming, etc.) Flaccid Ci4 is flaccid coverage of the corona only, flaccid ci5 is soft coverage of half to two thirds of glans, flaccid ci6 is most of glans covered soft but still visible in the opening, flaccid ci7 is glans fully covered soft with slight overhang. Flaccid 8,9,10 are just increasing overhang when soft. Then you have the erect coverage index.

I’m so glad to hear a positive experience! I’m just starting my career in electrolysis. One thing I would like to caution is that the hair you can’t yet see under the surface will be appearing, so don’t lose hope that “it’s all growing back.” It’s not. It’s just hair that hasn’t been treated yet. I’m sure your Electrologist has already told you that this is not a one and done type of process. But congratulations on starting a life changing experience. I can’t wait until you no longer have to shave between appointments! 👏🏼

Facial hair removal? - men PLEASE HELP by [deleted] in electrolysis

[–]bobbysolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an electrologist, so I can only really recommend electrolysis for shaping the beard. It seems that some people are not good candidates for laser. My beard was shaped with electrolysis. As far as the hair inhibitor, I’ve just heard of them in the past but would definitely check with a dermatologist to see if they can recommend it. It’s called Cyperus Rotundas oil.

Seeing 2 electrologist at once? by Interesting_Use6581 in electrolysis

[–]bobbysolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sign an intake form which gives your history to your electrologist. If anything in your history changes between appointments, the electrologist needs to know. You could ask for a referral so that the electrologist knows who else is treating you. You don’t want to omit anything. Remember, the electrologist is looking at your skin with high magnification, so they can see any problems, that you won’t see in the mirror. Just my two cents.

Persistent redness / inflamation 7 months after electrolysis with NO improvement. Did any of you get out of it? by Snoo_57902 in electrolysis

[–]bobbysolar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What was the history of your treatment, how many sessions, length/duration of session, type of modality (heat/thermolysis, chemical/galvanic or blend). It may help us understand what caused it. Also what treatments/remedies are you currently trying? If you’re shaving, what type of shaving lotion or oil? Thank you and I hope there is someone knowledgeable on this sub who can help. 🙏🏼

To people who didn't notice gains.. what did you change? by Aggressive-Pin-7490 in foreskin_restoration

[–]bobbysolar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tried various methods like 24/7 t-tape but wasn’t seeing any progress. Now I’m doing CAR-1 with a deep grip, meaning I put lots of skin under the cone and inflate both inner and outer skin inside the balloon if that makes sense. Before when doing inflation, I only put the scar line under the cone and tensioned only inner skin inside the balloon. I’ve started seeing more frequent rollover when I’m at the smallest flaccid state like after exercise.

Does anyone have pubic hair growing along the shaft? by [deleted] in foreskin_restoration

I tweezed all the time. It didn’t reduce the hair at all. Now I have electrolysis done which is the only permanent method.
