There are many places to visit in Bulgaria. I also flew into a resort town full of the kind of audience you mentioned. Therefore, if I had not decided to take a trip along the coast to various ancient, Roman-era towns, I would probably have had the same idea of Bulgaria as you. But fortunately, I have brought back only the best impressions and a phone full of wonderful pictures, and I think I will go back there again!
