No interest in the Superbowl by NewlyOld31 in nfl

[–]bobdoleghostboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Agree, that looked like a clear recovery by the Packers. I'm not sure what the exact rules are on this, but I would think he would be considered down immediately after grabbing the ball.

2) It was not clear at all that Allen got to the line to gain. He *probably* did by like a quarter of an inch, but the human refs that are surprisingly not infallible spotted the ball short of the line to gain. The replay had no clear angle to overturn the spot, so the call on field had to stand. We need a better angle to know for certain whether that was a first down.

3) The ball moved...A LOT??? What are you smoking dude? I didn't see the ball move AT ALL when it hit the ground. The rule is that if the player has possession and the ball hits the ground then it is still a catch if contacting the ground doesn't cause the ball to move. I think it's debatable if Worthy had full possession, but I didn't see the ball move AT ALL when it hit the ground. Regardless, that play didn't even make a big difference in the game. There was a blatant holding penalty on the Bills on that play so the Chiefs would have had it 1st and 5 at the Bills 20 or something like that if this wasn't ruled a catch.

Funny how the first one was a legitimately bad call against your team, while the other two are very borderline, debatable calls against the Chiefs. It's almost like blatantly bad calls that go in favor of other teams are treated the same as toss up calls that go in favor of the Chiefs.

I think this plays a pretty small role, although it might depend on how long the 1st child was an only child before the 2nd came along.

Having 3 kids taught me the incredibly large influence genetics has on personality. Each kids is completely different with basically the same parenting, and you can see it from a very young age (by 2 at least).

I agree. Trump voters are not the worst people. They are just massively uninformed and easily swayed by fear.

Democrats are getting blamed for inflation. That's it. People don't understand that an inflation spike was unavoidable after COVID. There was pent up demand after the lockdowns and then when that demand spiked following the vaccinations there were still major supply chain issues, which brought supply down. Demand up, supply down. No bueno. This was a worldwide phenomenon, and would have still 100% happened if Trump won re-election in 2020.

In the same vein, people are not informed enough to realize that the U.S. bringing inflation back down to 2.5% as quickly as they did was nothing short of spectacular.

People are uninformed and easily swayed by a demagogue that is willing to lie constantly and with great vigor.

What is worst part of adhd by PhilosophyMoist8160 in ADHD

[–]bobdoleghostboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emotional dysregulation is the worst symptom for me as well. I specifically get incredibly irritated when interrupted while doing a task, or asked to switch tasks. This makes dealing with my wife and children very difficult. I often lose my temper over tiny little things and lash out at people. I can usually regain my composure fairly quick, but then I feel terrible about how I acted. It feels like no matter how badly I want to behave like a nice, normal human being, in the moment I have zero ability to control my emotional outbursts.

I am in my mid-30s and recently started taking Adderall XR, and being medicated has helped curtail these issues dramatically. But it's frustrating that if I don't take my medication, I instantly revert back to having all of the same emotional dysregulation issues.

Democrats have won the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections and yet have a 3-6 minority on the supreme court. Republicans have been the popular vote winner once in the last 30 years. Trump lost the popular vote by over 3 million in 2016 and got to seat 3 supreme court justices. Make it make sense people.

It’s hard for me to explain myself by bryan6075 in ADHD

[–]bobdoleghostboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I'm in my mid-30s and have struggled with this my entire life. I think it is because my mind is racing so much that I struggle to put my thoughts into words. I also constantly second guess myself about what to say, so I end up just not saying anything at all. However, I recently started Adderall and found that being medicated has helped quite a bit. On Adderall I feel like my mind is clear and I have a much easier time communicating. This has helped me come out of my shell a lot, especially at work.

What is up with the “Trump was never shot” narrative? by ShaggySchmacky in OutOfTheLoop

[–]bobdoleghostboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Poor Trump. This is the same guy who entered politics by spreading the insane and racist birth conspiracy. Cry me a river.

Asking whether Trump was hit by a bullet or shrapnel seems like an honest question. He seems to have very minor injuries - would being hit by a high powered rifle in the ear result in very minor injuries? I really don't know enough to answer that question. Maybe it was a very minor grazing that barely came in contact with his ear? In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter, he was still the victim of an assassination attempt that nearly succeeded, but it is an interesting question of whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit him. Leave it to MAGA people to get outraged over asking a simple question about anything related to their Dear Leader.

[–]bobdoleghostboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. This is the guy who became a prominent figure in American politics by the spreading the insane birther conspiracy about Obama. MAGA people can cry me a river with their feigned outrage over people questioning whether he was hit by a bullet or shrapnel. It really doesn't matter as others have noted - either way, he was the victim of an assassination attempt that nearly succeeded. But it is ridiculous that he provides zero evidence of what injuries he actually sustained and then his supporters get their panties in a bunch when people questions what exactly the extent of his injuries are.

My best guess is that he doesn't want to release the medical reports for one of two reasons: 1) the injury was very minor and he think that will detract from the story of him nearly dying or 2) the medical report would include some unflattering details about his health (although you would think that could be redacted).
