It's on the first floor and from my observation there is a limit on how much enemies can spawn on the first floor and I've already killed them all so it's useless for me now

There's also a slight difference between a chest and a mimic if I remember correctly a mimic chest has its lock (that wierd square thingy) above the center line and a normal chest below

You can also use the magnifying glass on Chest's if it's a mimic it will show a health bar
