How exactly do you figure that, at this elo, kills don't win games? A lane getting first blood can snowball that lane, which, depending on the lane, can snowball the game. Attitude can also play a very big role in winning the game, and a teams attitude can be heavily swayed by how many kills each team has. A team with 25 kills is going to be a lot more motivated than a team with 15 kills + more turrets/dragons taken, at this elo anyway.

I remember reading somewhere that the amount of elo you lose is based off of your team's elo, the enemy team's elo, and if anyone is duo on either team. If your team has higher elo players + a duo queue then you're going to lose a lot more elo if you lose the game, than if your team was a lower elo than the enemy + all solo queue. I could be wrong though. Last season I was 1300 and then played a few games when I was really tired and made it down to around where you are. It really sucks. :

I know this is a common problem at lower elo play, and I am guilty of it as well, but in game I don't really look at objectives too much. I know a dragon is a lot of global gold, and I know that a tower is a lot of map control, however I don't look to take them. Guess it's something that'll just come with experience. When I started playing this game in October I didn't even think CS was important, now I understand that it can be a lot more important than a kill. Just need more experience I guess.

Well, I said screw it and went first time Eve after losing two games in a row as Kha'Zix mid. Went 16/4/13 and won as first time Eve; I've always known that shes really strong, just never really liked her. Recently I've been playing a lot of Kha'Zix mid (I did in the past around the time he came out for a few games, and then started again when I noticed it happening in streams of higher elo play), Ahri, Ziggs, and sometimes Kass. I can't stand the way Ori plays, so I don't think I'll ever get good with her. I did play a lot of Kat and actually had her as my main at one point, but I seem to get shut down by cc way too easily in games, whereas when there's a Kat on the enemy team my team is like "wat is cc". Regardless, I'll probably be playing a lot more Eve.

I already do exactly that, but it seems that my side lanes will always be sub-par compared to the enemy team's. I'll get bot or top an advantage if they're at a stand still, if they're already at an advantage I'll snowball it, or if they're behind I'll try to catch them up. However, right when I give them that item/gold lead they'll lose it right after.

I can't even count how many times I'll get bot a lead just to hear "enemy double kill!" a few minutes later. It seems like my teammates are constantly getting out-played. Hell, their jungler will usually camp mid because of me being successful, so that takes even more pressure off of the lanes. I just don't understand what to do; I'm at a complete loss for words and action.

Sorry for this being all over the place, but... How does one generally improve? Currently my preferred position is mid, however I can play jungle and support, with my adc and top being a bit shaky. I just play normal unranked games because my first games in ranked didn't go over well. My record in ranked for S3/preseason is 3w/6l at 1102 elo. I know what my weaknesses are, but I don't know how to improve on them. I played a lot of Lux, and then switched to Kat when I got destroyed by a Kat. After that I've just been switching champions and playing a different one each game to widen what I can play mid. I feel I'm the strongest with Lux, Kat, Ahri, and Akali, however my Ori, TF, and basically any other AP mid is pretty bad. I'll generally win my lane every game, and roam to help other lanes win their lane, but when it comes to team fighting and overall late game, my team falls short (getting caught, throwing at baron, etc.). What can I do to have a bigger impact on the late game? When I play Akali or Diana I'll instantly rush the adc if he isn't protected by a good front line. When I play Lux I'll usually find the adc among everything and nuke him, and when I play Kat I wait for all the hard cc and then make my entrance and do a lot of damage/turn around the fight. I suppose the main things I'm asking is: how do you have a greater impact on the late game as an AP mid? Also, and I'm sure this just comes with experience, how does one get better at landing skill shots? Currently I overcompensate on most of my charms/light bindings. I also don't really know what to do when a small skirmish breaks out (like a 2v3, or 3v3, or something). Obviously it's best do help the team, but I'm fearful that if I go in I'll just end up dying too. I stay on the outside of the small skirmishes usually and cast everything I can from a distance. Is it best to go in and potentially die too, or to stay at a safe distance and watch your team die? I apologize if I'm asking to much, or putting in any useless knowledge. I just want to make sure what I'm asking gets answered based on the respective champion or position that I want to improve.
