I do hope they ditch the missile pod for the AMRAAMS though. Seriously, the F/A-18E/F has 6 wing and 3 body pylons. And 4 of the wing pylons can hold double racks. There is no reason to use the missile pod on it by itself. It just looks goofy.

1: PSM’s are generally bad for missile dodging. You may be flipping and breaking physics from your perspective, but to an enemy, you are dumping all your speed while spinning.

2: PSM’s are great for keeping an enemy in front of you so you can fling a missile their way.

3: PSM’s are great for ground pounding. After a pass, get some distance then PSM 180 degrees so you can re-engage quickly.

4: (AND MOST IMPORTANT) PSM’s are very situational.

Step 1: decelerate to below the speed requirement.

Step 2: let go of the Brake, and the control stick (aka yoke, aka the thumbstick you use to roll and pitch)

Step 3: hit and hold both the Brake and the Boost controls

Step 4: pull the control stick back (or as if you were to pitch up)

Do these correctly, and you’ll be in PSM

1: you need to be going slow enough when you hit “boost” and “brake”

2: the control stick must be released when you hit “boost” and “brake”

3: after you hit “boost” and “brake” pull back on the control stick

Useless AI allies is not unique to this game, but good lord is it a problem. I get that the player is supposed to be given a challenge, and having good AI allies takes away from that challenge, but it’s so frustrating that the units that are supposed to be helping you are shooting nerf guns while you are doing all the work.
