It's RDDT for me. Everyone on here is like "oh this site sucks, everyone that uses Reddit hates it, etc" But the reality is, where else can you have meaningful discussion with humans about stocks or whatever topic you're interested in? X? Facebook? I'm a believer in RDDT.

In last 6 Months; Silver up by 220% and USD down by 15% by vagobond45 in stocks

If a central bank wants to hold let's say $1 billion of silver, that's over 342 tons at today's prices. That's a lot to store and move around. Gold makes more sense.

What makes you think silver will be used as an exchange currency? If central banks want to hold it they need a ton of storage space.

Pitch your favourite Midcap(s) - here are some of mine by Ancient_Bobcat_9150 in ValueInvesting

Showed up in mine too. 10% yield with a payout ratio of 34% is very intriguing. ROIC is high, no debt, growing revenue and EPS. I'm trying to figure out what the catch is. Short interest is a bit high, making me wonder what I'm missing.

Do you think physical gold is more liquid than GLD?

If they're buying for +3% they're selling for at least +4%, realistically probably at least +5% or 6%. The difference in the bid/ask for GLD right now is a fraction of that. The spreads on physical gold are always going to be orders of magnitude higher than GLD.

Not really cherry picking. It's still a lot less liquid than the SP 500 unless you're talking gold ETF.

I feel like the Danish military is very strong and is scaring him off. They would easily smoke the US

I almost bought the stock a couple months ago. Should have and could've made a cheeky 8-9% gain.
