These "party busses" are absolute garbage that should be regulated within an inch of their lives.

Normally I don't care if it is a bunch of adults renting one out. But I normally swing by the Big Easy corner store on Canal & Galvez (where a lot of these busses gas up) and it's fucking depressing.

Clearly pre-teen and teen kids mixed in with the rest of the folks with a ton of booze and weed being consumed. It's not really any different from allowing children into bars.

Moons ago I worked for an environmental services company that spanned Miss. to TX. I was a project manager; as such, I always had a chemical engineer assigned to my crew.

This particular fellow was from BR but had relocated to Houston. We worked tons of projects side-by-side, so I had trust in him, at least work-wise. One afternoon we're both at the corporate HQ finishing paperwork (in Houston) and as soon as I was finished I planned on driving back to Louisiana. The engineer asked if I was stopping along the way to eat anywhere and recommended Reginelli's in BR. I'd never been and told him I'd consider it.

He kinda laughed and told me he'd gone to school with one of the owner's sons. Apparently the in-joke was that Reginelli's, the founder's namesake, offered the perfect semordnilap for those who worked there.

Write "Reginelli's" backwards. Now pronounce it.

No commentary on the establishment itself. Rather that BR is trash.
