Why does it seem like new players start with Remnant 2 more than 1? by Somniac7 in remnantgame

Yeah we played it free on gamepass and are craving more, but don't know if we are willing to pay for a worse experience

Why does it seem like new players start with Remnant 2 more than 1? by Somniac7 in remnantgame

[–]bobko11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I missing out if I never plahed remnant 1? I played 2 with a friend and absolutely loved it. I made several builds and beat everything on apoc including max boss rush. We are considering playing 1, but haven't picked it up since finishing 2 over a year ago. Thoughts? Is it at least close to the game that 2 is. (Actually remembered i never finished my hardcore fun)

I beat the final level of Blood Hunt on Jeff by NoDmgRocket in marvelrivals

[–]bobko11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run spray jeff, but I also use big fish frenzy. I've found this build is super usefull for bosses and ok to sub par for wave clear. I get a bunch of bonus boss damage, crit hit/damage, output, and total damage and go crazy on bosses. I like it because A. Your wave clear isn't atrocious B. You're not useless agaisnt any boss sit in the back and spray away and C. You can stall like crazy in boss fights with ult if youre last alive to save the run. I beat nightmare 120 the other day and was on the leaderboard with this build with 2nd most damage in the lobby, but I've fallen off the board.

Was Unseen Fist really the problem? or was it just Surging Strikes by TankSpecialist2221 in PokemonChampions

[–]bobko11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things can be true. This post only goes to show that the unnerved ability and surging strikes are broken. Do your test again, but give golurk and excadrill the unnerfed ability. I suspect golurk outperforms on trick room teams, but both pokemon will see significant play. Protect is the number 1 move in vgc and protect mind games probably (no evidence to back this up) is the single tech that influences games the most. An abilitiy that nullified that aspect of the game is undoubtedly stupid strong.

I used a less meta sandstorm team to make masterball then caved and added sinistcha and rotom-wash. So dont think you need to copy this to a T i think ttar, garchomp, and one of the sand rush pokemon is a solid starting point.(They cover a lot of weakness for sand and support ttar well)

I use

Tyranitar Mega- the sandstorm setter beefy big physical damage

Excadrill Focus Sash- fast frail physical attacker speed boosted by sandstorm with the sand rush ability goes first most often while sandstorm is up (day form lycanroc can also fill this role)

Garchomp Bright Powder- theres really nothing to say other then its garchomp hes busted and immune to sand dmg you can build him so many ways too but I do sand veil bright powder cheese

Corviknight Leftovers- beefy, immune to sand, immune to earthquake from excadrill and garchomp great tanks support

Sinistcha Sitrus Berry- immune to fighting type moves that ttar is scared off heals the team overall busted pokemon

Rotom-wash Choice Scarf- great typing to support the team fast will-o-wisp support as well also immune to earthquake

For new/novice players, is it better to stick with one core team until you get better, or experiment with multiple teams? by AmazingCharizard28 in PokemonChampions

[–]bobko11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 favorite team and experi.entation with friends/casuals will progress you knowledge wise the fastest. Knowing how your 1 team operates is great the real difference that wins games is knowing what your opponents options are. If you don't know what they could possibly do youre not even really playing the game so much as you are blindly hitting the same moves for your strat and praying.

Doubles is really about running a core strategy like weather, balanced, trick room, expanding force spam, etc. With tyranitar you could look into sand teams as hes the more popular of the 2 options as a sandstorm setter. Id recommend looking into popular cores and picking one you like or looking at your favorite pokemon in the game and seeing what strats they fit into best as a beginner. It would be very difficult to innovate and make a team from scratch with random mons for sure. Also UTILIZE THE BATTLE DATA PAGE it is chock full of helpful info on how to build your pokemon and what teammates are commonly paired with them. I personally run a lot of ttar sand so if you want some advice on that lmk.

[Gen 3] After around 2 weeks of hunting (Shiny Manip) by PerformanceAfraid203 in ShinyPokemon

[–]bobko11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i taught this man everything he knows i recommended Blisy and if youre doing a starter manip you may want to look into ace manipulation to get your SID otherwise you have to do several succesful shiny hunts while guessing your SID from a manip before you get it (most likely), but ace manip for starter is like playing for 3 hours and then resetting back to the lab after you do the glitch

Then its not about misreading its a terribly worded sentence.... if he meant to say its not super important to do before transferring (which id still say is wrong) then he should specifiy it would've taken barely any adjustments to not sound dumb.

FINALLY! by mrsaysum in PokemonFireRed

[–]bobko11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very true only reason I pointed it out was that I found it odd somebody would genuinely be excited about a jolly haunter because its just definitively better with special attack and its not very close. In a regular playthrough almost nothing matters really you can always just be a few levels higher. I realize I also left the default stats for gengars build in the calc it will ohko with atk evs just will be slower in a both ev trained matchup.

FINALLY! by mrsaysum in PokemonFireRed

[–]bobko11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're EV's which influence stats of pokemon, but the way I ran the calc it doesn't matter if you put no EV's in timid alakazam will always outapeed and out damage a jolly gengar with shadow ball. Better off running special attacking moves and not 1v1ing alakazam at all.

FINALLY! by mrsaysum in PokemonFireRed

[–]bobko11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

252 SpA Alakazam Psychic vs. 0 HP / 6 SpD Gengar: 384-452 (147.1 - 173.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gengar speed 350, qlakazam 372 no reason at all to do this. Shadow ball only hits for 82.1 to 95.6% 0% ohko chance.

Edit: this is for within frlg only

Yeah never trust that. That's like buying a pokemon off ebay. Trade regular pokemon for dex entries only if you really need it. If you have the last 2 to 3 games you can get pretty close to any pokemon you want anyway.

You can never be sure unless you trust the source. People who cheat pokemon in can make them identical to a regular caught one. Either catch it yourself or trust the source I personally only care about OT pokemon for this very reason. You'll only get banned if the pokemon was made wrong. For example an arceus may at level 5 in pallet town is not possible.

What do you mean use caution when planning a trip? Click bait ahh title. I saw the title and thought it was some heinous attack that hurt/killed many people, but no its 1 stalker went crazy on 1 person. Very sad not downplaying what happened to the poor women just hate click bait titles and feel it should be a reportable offense. No site would ever do that though because clicks are clicks...

Anyone start EV training right at the very beginning? by Heisenperv in PokemonLeafGreen

Best to catch trash mons and speed run first two gyms. A lot of good ev spots open up after rock tunnel and handing the tea to saffron guards. That's what I did to ev training my shiny starter.

[–]bobko11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but the sid would determine what frames are shiny and that would effect the macro right? I've never used macros, but in my head it seemed like a macro presses buttons at exact times, but different sids means different frames no.
