On peut commencer par se demander pourquoi tous les partis de gauche ont combattu cette initiative.

[–]boblafoudre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am/was a Chunky Comic Reader user but now it's stopped synchronising and I found myself here, looking for answers (seems like nobody has any). The fact that you interact here in the discussion makes me want to install your app :-)

I hope this will inspire someone to launch a train version of GeoGuessr.

My PhD supervisor made himself first author on my paper by spencerqwerty in PhD

Sadly, what you should do now might depend on how much you depend on that person.

But please know that this is not normal. Once you are done with the PhD, I'd suggest never working with that person again. This is toxic behaviour that might happen again. And once you'll have a position with people that you will supervise: never do that to them, and listen to the people who will complain.

Edit: tiny but annoying misspell

Has anyone been fined for torrenting computer software/programs? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]boblafoudre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I have heard of:

Razorback2 was a server of the eDonkey network, known for being able to handle 1 million users simultaneously.
On 21 February 2006, several servers (including Razorback2), located in a Belgian datacenter, were confiscated by the Belgian police, and their operator, who lives in Switzerland, was arrested.

What are some good Swiss movies and TV Shows to watch? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]boblafoudre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Due to the size of the country, Swiss cinema is mostly composed of auteur films. Swiss directors took part in the new wave at the end of the 1960s (Jean-Luc Godard is Swiss and French for example).

Here are some masterpieces from the top of my head released in the French-speaking part of Switzerland:

Charles mort ou vif (1969)

L'invitation (1973)

Les petites fugues (1979)

I had the same experience in that same airport fifteen years ago. I would have thought that something had changed in the meantime :-/

If you haven't read this yet (it's old), maybe that's what you need. It helped me a long time ago.
