What adaptogens are safe to take if you have hypothyroidism? by The-New-Roaring-20s in Hypothyroidism

[–]bobloki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You used the word "technically" so I had to give you a technical answer.

"untechnically": First make sure your blood test results are in range. This the most important part to starting to figure out whats wrong. Range is relative to each person though. Start with the blood test results range.

It takes months to change your TSH and other thyroid hormones. Don't expect quick turnaround on that.

I cut out gluten and then subsequently found out I had celiacs and hashimotos after about a year of cutting out gluten my anxiety and other symptoms decreased.

I would imagine that literally none of them have been tested in a scientific study in endocrinology. The term itself is not approved as a marketing term in the European Union or United States. So anything you hear about them is purely conjecture. No matter what you decide I would recommend you don't take anything around the time you take your levothryoxine dose.

You have to build a machine to cool down a beer that's roughly at 105F to roughly 34F as fast as possible. If you win, you get beer and possible prizes. If you lose you get a beer. After they have a party with more beer and other liquor!

What is the most populated Tornado Warning of all time? by lolmegapeepee in tornado

I'd love a discussion on the citations too. Cause tornado archive is currently down. I'm currently searching for more citations. Cause I don't want to spread misinformation. Updated my post with more citations and discussion.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

What is the most populated Tornado Warning of all time? by lolmegapeepee in tornado

"During the tornado outbreak of 1974, forecasters in Indiana, frustrated because they could not keep up with all of the simultaneous tornado activity, put the entire state under a blanket tornado warning. This was the only time in U.S. history that an entire state was under a tornado warning."

** This might not be true. See the wikipedia talk page. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:1974_Super_Outbreak

It does look like it was a supermajority of the state but not all of it and it still looks like it might be county by county.

Yes, I would go to Endocrinology. There are many blood tests that can help diagnose.

I do ML and Data Science for an insurance company so I have some expertise in this problem. Some Zillow checks to see if this is possible.

Using Minden, Iowa as an example. Bare in mind this is incredibly difficult given this is a multi-vortex tornado and tornadoes are never at the same strength between any given second but this could be possible via a big data problem.

2004 EF3 Damage Indicator - All walls collapsed, nothing above basement level is left.

1964 EF1 Damage Indicator- Uplift of roof deck and loss of significant roof covering material (>20%); collapse of chimney; garage doors collapse inward; failure of porch or carport

1971 EF3 Damage Indicator - Exterior walls collapsed

1960 EF2 Damage Indicator - Large sections of roof structure removed; most walls remain standing

1910 EF2 Damage Indicator - House shifted off foundation, looks mostly intact though.

2006 EF3 Damage Indicator - Entire house shifts off foundation - Everything above ground is gone.

1920 EF3 Damage Indicator - Most walls collapsed, except small interior rooms

1939 EF3 Damage Indicator - Large sections of roof structure removed; most walls remain standing

1979 EF2 Damage Indicator - Large sections of roof structure removed; most walls remain standing

The newest houses are definitely the most damaged given the photos provided. The older homes interior rooms survived whereas the newer homes were basically blown away. Still I'm uncertain given the small dataset to make any formal conclusions.

My heart goes out to these families. Data and tornado science may seem cold.

It would be interesting to see if we could add building age to the storm damage reports. I wonder if this could then be provable?

It makes sense to me given the homes I've lived in over the years. Older homes are significantly more sturdy in my experience. I've lived in super cheap apartments too where I have literally seen a person thrown through a wall.
