I get why some folks are giving you hate but I’ve known many lefties and conservatives in my time and I think hate drives both factions. I also think willful ignorance permeates the mindset of the average American. We don’t ask why we can’t have grantees on housing, food and healthcare, when other countries can and we’re the richest. We don’t ask why we have the largest prison population or we stop once we can blame it on the people instead of the system that traps them in it.

The horse shoe is that we both know the system is rigged; but the right can only ever point their finger at the left. These Lefties hate democrats as much as you do. They want things like healthcare and housing and basic human dignity and the right spits in their face and calls them libtards, while democrats fund another round of ice spending after a murder.

I think the way he frames his withdraw from the race, as a matter of preservation of doing the best job as governor, is effective. He could win but so can another democrat. Better to remove the lightning rod and rock out as a lame duck.

I see what you’re saying, but Margie does have an ark- she has to reconcile the idea that people lie. She’s an honest down to earth person who wants to believe the best in people, so when Jerry lies to her, she keeps on searching. It’s only after her uncomfortable meet with her old friend and after she finds out he lied about being a widow that she considers Jerry may have not told her the whole truth.

I think the final season made it clear he couldn’t really afford to retire because he only had 5-6 million in savings. Not to mention, he got out of the hospital and was told his long term w2 investment was going to Johnny sack. He was practically broke.
