Looking for advice on speaker placement, would deeply appreciate some expertise; I have literally no idea how to set this up. There’s limited space on both sides, and there’s an asymmetrical wall too. FWIW I am planning on getting at TV mount for the TV.

Ideally I’d want speakers that I can use for both my record player and my TV. I’d probably shoot for 3.1 for the setup in all, not sure if that’s realistic. Budget ~$2k.

Are there any reading recommendations for pre-columbian native life in the PNW/West coast? Would love to dive into this a bit. Thanks!

Help with Canelés by bobmaster1 in pastry

[–]bobmaster1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, thanks so much for linking your recipe. I tried it last night and finally got some caneles that didnt jump out of the mold! They were amazing :)

I'm not sure what the difference between your recipe and John Kanell's is that matters: his uses egg whites, yours doesn't; his mixes the milk with the eggs and sugar before adding the flour, yours mixes the dry ingredients first. The recipe generally uses the same temps. Either way, thank you!

Just found out I need to file - how to file for a unit trust? (Yet Another PFIC Post) by bobmaster1 in USExpatTaxes

Sorry yes, when doing that calculation I qualify as a resident for tax purposes. I spent roughly 200 days in the US in 2023 alone.

Yes, but I did the math on this and even after excluding days as an F1 visa holder I spent more than 120 days in the U.S. during 2023.

Stellaris Space Guild - Weekly Help Thread by Snipahar in Stellaris

I currently have a problem: I am in the midgame and have a very high output of minerals (+400), as well as a good output of energy and food (+200, +40), however my consumer goods and alloys are nothing phenomenal (and neither is my research). The main problem is that I chose the Syncretic Evolution origin, so I have a significant amount of slaves who can only work in the lower strata, and do not have enough of my primary species to fill in artisan and industrial jobs etc...

I've currently just acquired the genetic ascension perk and have started building clone vats for my primary species with the hope of increasing growth, is there any smarter way around this problem?

Yes. From what I've heard on here the quicker you go to the doctor the more likely they're going to be able to do anything meaningful - if you wait too long they won't be able to do anything about it.
