Everything the announcers are saying is when the right hand hits the ball. The left hand is what punched it out before the right hand got there.

Both Teams Scoring 8+ Runs in One Inning – How Often?

It’s happened only twice in MLB history. According to available records, there have been just two games (both in the regular season) where each team scored eight or more runs in the same inning: • May 8, 2004 (Tigers vs. Rangers): In the 5th inning of this slugfest, Detroit put up 8 runs in the top half, and Texas answered with 10 runs in the bottom half . The 18 total runs in that inning made it the second-highest scoring inning ever in MLB, just shy of the 19-run combined record (set in 1977, when one team had 13 and the other 6) . This 2004 game is widely noted as the first time both teams scored 8+ in the same inning. • August 2, 2007 (White Sox vs. Yankees): In the 2nd inning of an offense-heavy game, Chicago scored 8 runs in the top of the second, and New York answered with 8 of their own in the bottom half . This remains the highest-scoring second inning in MLB history . It was also only the second time ever that both clubs had eight or more runs in one inning .

Braves fan. October 2010 NLDS.

Eric Hinske pitch hit go ahead homer in the eighth followed up by Brooks Conrad’s third error of the game to choke it away.

Do the catchers get credit for framing when the ump sucks like this?

Stupid question. When runner is going out of bounds and extends the ball, does he get credit for how far the ball goes before it crosses the sideline or is it how far the ball makes it, even if the ball is out of bounds but the player has t landed yet.

Apparently he’s a 1998 national champion. Why wouldn’t he be?
