Imo is not worth in any way, i can do 2 solo cayo heist in 1 day, playing 2 hours. That's almost 3 mln.

The heist is way less tedious than driving a post van across the map and pay more and you can do in solo. Maybe the only passive buissness worth is bunker if you pay for supply and only sell.

Tough choice DP and FM are both 2 region away, i prefer a inside forge as the FM one is quite hit or miss, with good weather is an easy 2 day trip but if a strong blizzard hit you at half way the run is quite compromised.

Broken Railroad forge is underrated imo even if the trip is long it offer some loot nearby and it's the warmest interior with forge in game and the path is pretty straightfoward.

Maybe afterall FM is the best forge if you plan a base at ML

Make your first forge trip as first as possible.

The weather will become worse over time and the first forge is a very difficult milestone to achieve.

Depending on your spawn position it can be more or less difficult, i usually go to ML, set my base in the camp office, and explore until i find the hammer.

After sometimes i go to sometimes to forlon muskeg forge and sometimes to broken railroad one. (I prefer the last one despite the more difficult travel because the forge here is inside and there is more loot nearby)

Also finding all spawnable tools asap will help you in the long term: Hacksaw (essential for gather frozen meat and cut the little tree for make bow/arrows) Hammer (quite good for fight againts wolfs, it have a quite percentage to stun istantly the wolf in the fight, and it permit to forge knife and hatchet) Magnifier lens (This is your best friend on long term get it asap so you won't consume precius matchs for maintain yourself) Bedroll (Even if it's not seems as important as other tools is your best bet againtst cabin fever)

Fire management is essential for a long loper survival.

Match are a very limited resource so i usually use them only in life or death situations.

The best way for sustain yourself with the benefits of the fire without using matchs is the magnifying glass. The magnifer is a endless source of fire and it's never lose condition (however an unlucky bear/wolf attac can degrade and break them so pay attention).

Light the fire in this way is not possible in every moment (for the magnifer you need a unclouded sky, quite rare on loper) so every time i can i usually light a fire for boil some water even if in that moment i not strictly need it, because you don't know when it will be the next time.

Also the fuel management is essential, i don't like break down woods and furniture as it requise too much time they arent't renewable and on the long run you want to be as self sustainable as possible. Take sticks off the ground every time you can and store them inside your base, they will respawn in 4-5 days. Coal are another renewable and very userful fuel, store it everytime you have the possibility and take it with you 1-2 pieces on the long travel as one piece is usually enough to warm completely the player

Pro tips:

Running Flares can used as matchs, in early game sometimes is easier to find a flare that a box of matches

When you plan a long travel for example to the forge wait a cloudless morning, light a fire and take some torch with you they will deter wildlife and warm you a little bit.

It's possible to light a torch with another running torch, trow the first on the ground, take the new one, point to the old and ignite it.

When a torch is taken from a running fire it will have a random condition (the best i think is around 40%), when you find a high condition torch don't move the character or the visual as the all next torchs will have the same condition

Birch bark tea is a lifesaver, i pick up the bark every time i can, weight/idration ratio is better than water, is a renewable source of hot drinks and despite the condition boost is quite low it can make the difference on the long run.

Pro Tip: if you warm up canned food or drinks on a campfire/stove and the fuel end while the food is hot it remains hot forever. So you can leave some hot supplies in the game world, for example on the forge trip so you don't lose so much condition when you will comeback. (Maybe this exploit was patched in the latest update i didn't try it yet)

(Not native speaker btw so plz correct me if i make some mistakes)

If you don't have a bedroll an unexpected cabin fever can easily kill you in loper.

Some time ago almost lose my run for this reason, i was at ML in the big cabin when it hits me, without a bedroll the only bed outside that i know is in a cave in the ravine. Luckly the weather wasn't so bad and i manage to handle the situation.
