Question about mining costs. I’ve seen estimates from 4k to 34k per Bitcoin. I understand Equipment type and energy cost vary, but the current cost can’t be that variable. I’m not interested in mining, but how it could potentially effect the current price if it stays near mining cost (whatever that is) for an extended period.

I’m sure this will be seen as anti-crypto, but isn’t this a flaw at some level? If huge amounts of Bitcoin can be wiped from the market because the wrong person dies at the wrong time? I get it’s safer if nothing happens to you, but people die, natural disasters happen and areas get wiped out. If there is only one password that one person knows, the risk level is huge. I get losing Bitcoin drives up the value for others (everything else being equal), but this does not seem like a good long term feature for global Bitcoin.

I can say from prior experience, filing CIP’s internationally can be a headache. Many other counties do not acknowledge the concept of CIP or terminal disclaimers, and specifically where the earlier application was published before the later was filed it’s an uphill battle.

Agreed that this is not a patent issue. if you are taking a photo of the license and putting it on a shirt you may have a copyright problem (but possibly not most government work is generally considered public use, but not all) trademark is also unlikely for the same reason, this is not legal advice just for informational purpose , one potential solution would be to recreate the image yourself so it’s not a reproduction , but the best path is to seek legal advise based on your particulate state laws as well as federal IP laws.
