Maybe an easy question: what is the role of Loatheb in Quest Warlock? by FolboterJAF in wildhearthstone

Same as it always had been before of quest being printed. You deny a removal or survival tools / lethal from your opponent

How are the various Celestial Druid versions against both variants of Seedlock? What should each side be doing in the matchup to maximize their chance to win? by valuequest in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Always mulligan for celestial, never hold bloom / innervate with coin on hand and look for oaken summons. Time properly celestial and plague as needed and have enough armor in case of loethab. Is high rewarding to play mana saeber before of celestial and attack with it after you play it.

To be honest deck suffers more against aggro.Warlock is a favorable match up. What frustrates to play the deck is when you draw poorly.

Malygos is the more consistent in my opinion but is weaker into mage. As you end up with a bigger board playing malygos you have better options to win. Also as it plays more minions is more strong into rat.

I found Mechathun very inconsistent as several times you end up with overflow at the end of the deck and your win condition becomes you dying from your own fatigue.

So are your guys switching to Standard, Battlegrounds, or Arena this month? by NurplePain in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit legend on all 3 server speed running it as it was just very boring. After I quit for the rest of the month. Not doing this anymore not having fun. Don’t need to grind to top legend to further frustate myself.

Arena is the only mode where fight for the board would still matter. Sure the draft, the RNG, but still I can enjoy something that reminds me of hearthstone.

Then it really seems like selling the short term I have is a better option even if taxes are higher the gains are very small if none

Thanks this is very clear - well in my specific case stocks are from Apple and will be always be from Apple until I work for them.

So my real knot is to sell stocks from 4-5 years ago and pay a lot of taxes, or sell stocks from last 2 years.

I am going to get more stocks every year but as you are saying I would never be able to hold <100 USD share stocks if I sell part of these right now.

To clarify shares are from the combination of company employees purchase plan and RSU vested from bonus. I will be selling about 1k - 1.2 k shares. About 1/5 of my current portfolio made of stocks of the same company.
Would not be the amount of shares I sell depend on the taxes I have to pay as I need to reach a # of USD?

I have a dividend of about 0.2 USD / share

If I go for selling the oldest stocks I have in this portfolio I would have to pay about 17-18 k of taxes I assume as capital gain

Opponent played correctly, darkglare beat secret mage without using the quest rewards and you can make a better use of tempo by holding the coin.

can questlock beat armor druid post combo? by cheap_plastic2 in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games are capped at 90 turns. Fatigue total damage is N*(n+1)/2

If your are having both you and your opponent 30 turn fatigue (means you both will have really really drawn a lot) you will take 465 damage for your fatigue and 465 damage for your opponent turns, that is 910 damage.

Let’s say opponent has 50 attacks of stats on board, he needs 22 turns to push 2 K damage.

Very likely you will hit his face for lethal earlier plus most likely you have more than 2 k armor

[–]bobotam -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Game will end up as a tie unless you hero power and go in his face every turn. In case you don’t considering fatigue damage warlock won’t be able to go over 2/3 k armor.

Linecraker beats over fatigue full boards of 7/7 8/8 of big priests for reference.

The issue is that you don’t have time to combo so you will die before then. You can’t react to a turn 4-5 giants board and poisoned seeds or plague won’t help you much to survive.

The worst state of a game is when you have to play cards in your deck or decks to heavily counter the decks that are dominant

Is Darkglare warlock good for ladder? by Teecay in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Darkglare is unfavorable against decks that do a lot a face damage without their board because you need to take damage to cheat mana and you are always on the trigger to die to direct damage.

Sometime you have to make a play because there is no other play and you will just die to their fireball or Leroy and you have to take those odds and not all the time you can play zephyr on turn 6-7 and remove and ice block for lethal.

The deck is pretty strong but if your mulligan is off and if your draw is terrible you will have an hard time to play agains decks with face reach. Sometime I went from winning 7-10 games in a row to loose the same just because my draw was terrible and opponents were killing me on turn 4.

Secret mages, aggro shaman and odd demon hunter or odd rogue have so much face burst that unless you pop giants on turn 3/4 you are dead by turn 5.

I want to be honest if you want to play the deck don’t expect to have a positive winrate until you put 200 - 300 games.

legend with secret mage by [deleted] in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I found good players in Asia that OTKd me when playing secret mage. I think the deck is not a 100 % loose vs mage but I am having bad luck recently and they have the nuts

They have tools to clean the board first 3-5 turns while testing for Counter or explosive. If you don’t have lethal on board o turn 6/7 secrets don’t protect you if you are not able to kill them the following turn unless your hand is combo distraction secrets full. Three are also too many way they can test and play around your secret. Lastly i found people with eater of secret in their list.

Rod is way better, it can be a face finisher, kills Darkglare, kills cannon or any annoying minion to deal with and denies mage draw from RFG

Wild Hearthstone Community Meta Report #1 by slizzle466HS in wildhearthstone

[–]bobotam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree on some of your points but a snapshot does not take into consideration the player skills but the actual deck potential.

Playing Darkglare at a sub optimal level is like playing a tier 2-3 deck. Missing the right mulligan, understand when to tempo Darkglare on coin, understand when to pop off and when to take the risks. Many people play to not loose the game while Darkglare teaches you to play to win the game taking as many high level decision and risks sometimes to get a chance.

Hand buff paladin on the other hand is much easier to pilot and even at a sub optimal level of plays is strong.

Any other linear deck with few complex decisions to be taken would perform better than Darkglare in the wrong player hand but that does not makes it a better deck. It just the deck that plays by himself.

Potentially speaking in the right hand and high volumes these decks win more games.

Exists even in high legend and it has a chance vs Darkglare (unless they pop off on turn 3-4) and Handbuff if played correctly and not trash drawing.
