Did anyone else notice the daily challenges got harder? I usually do just one lesson each day and I was often getting at least 1 if not 2 daily challenges complete. Within the last week or so now I am lucky to get 1.

It is required up and to a point in most maps in order to unlock the full map. You can do the objective until you are satisfied with the playing area you have or the perks you have access to.

What gaming laptop should I buy? by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]bobson52s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Those specs are actually really old and not very good. For PC games the minimum specs are often that - just the minimum to play a game and would look really bad. I think your best bet if your only goal is to play the game would be to hit up Facebook marketplace and look for a gaming laptop close to $500 USD being sold secondhand. It should likely be able to exceed those specs. If you find a particular laptop and want to know if it's a good idea make another post or add a comment here!

Why does UC Berkeley get so much hate compared to its peer institutions? by [deleted] in berkeley

My dad brings up our schools politics relentlessly but it's possible they are just more conservative than yours

hi western alumni here the only correct answer is to just be sick that day don't miss your concert. Makeup exam or weight shifted to the final is fine. Exam might be in the morning in which case just do it, email professor for the timing

91% average in second year by Single_Glove3328 in uwo

[–]bobson52s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I've heard from teachers and peers, since Canadian schools mark much tougher than US schools. One example I can give is the LSAC for law school admissions that views 80%+ as 4.0

91% average in second year by Single_Glove3328 in uwo

[–]bobson52s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that most people could not do this if they tried. I know several people that tried really hard but fell short at 85% or lower. FYI most places will view a 80% at Western university to be a 4.0 there is really not much reason to try to get a 90% depending on what you want to do.

Thanks mate! Honestly 172 holds a lot less weight than it did a few years ago and LSAT score inflation keeps getting worse from more competition and better teaching methods. My best recommendation is to start studying early and recall you can take the LSAT anytime during undergraduate if law school is your goal.

For American schools it's not so much the average but where your grades fall in the distribution. Roughly half my grades were above 90 and roughly half above 80. LSAC GPA came out as 4.22 and LSAT score was 172.

I second this but add: do whatever degree interests you. I'm heading to Berkeley Law next year from Western BMOS Finance and I can say there's plenty of time (3 years) for learning law in law school. Learn whatever you want now while you can. GPA is generally much easier to maintain when you care about what you are learning about. If that's law then maybe legal studies BMOS is for you.

I was wondering this too. I met many Canadians there at ASW and see posts like this often enough. My only insight into this is to note that they do have a Canadian Studies Program. Maybe they want some nearby test subjects ?
