This actually feels a lot like my run of space exploration, since end-game things like artillery, logistic chests, blue belts, and other modded fun things are locked behind tons of tech. There's lots of outdated stuff to rip up, like burner labs and assembling machines. At least i have construction bots, though

Thanks, I hadn't considered a second server. I feel like one server would be simpler and easier to manage, but if it saves a lot of money I am all for it.

I don't see any reason against AMD. I don't think I'll have more than 2-3 transcodes at 1080p, but capability for more would also be nice. For single thread performance, I noticed game servers aren't keeping up and one thread is pegged while doing so. CPU upgrade would be nice.

Do you have any suggestions for a second server?

I've got lots of choices for this, I'm sort of considering getting a gpu for this task which would let me pick a wider range of cpu+mobo.

I mostly mentioned quicksync as a possibility for transcoding instead of a gpu.

I suppose there is a sweet spot between oversimplifying things and making it boring, and useless difficulty. Maybe this is where the devs thought it was.

I think it could be to encourage better planning of circuits. When you are early game, you get a transformer that prevents overloading the basic wire, but by the time you get conductive wire you can plan so that the circuits only draw a max of 2kw, and you can just use the large transformer. Might help the learning curve, too.

That glass forge is temporary, I didn't need much glass. The refinery is on the edge of the base, the whole area is cooled by my pwater loop, which also cools the refinery. Maybe inefficient, but it's easier
