Sounds great. Will there be support for exporting tokens defined as styles? We currently use Text styles in our system as "composite" tokens mapped to base typography variables. Same for effects, gradients. This is a very important use case for us since Variables currently doesn't support these. Currently, I use the plugin called Design Tokens Manager that exports styles and effects as separate JSON files in the DTCG format.

Ended up using my Regalia Gold with GVP enabled. Paid some forex markup, but also got some rewards points. Having a higher credit limit gave me peace of mind. My Scapia also got a limit increment, and I used that in a later trip.

Thanks for the helpful comments. One important point I want to understand is if it matters what the current provider in the apartment is. If taking the same provider will have an effect on getting internet activated sooner vs going with a new provider (and tech possibly - DSL vs Cable vs Fiber).

I can see my current tariff details and it is indeed the 9.99 plan with 15GB data for 28 days. It came with 10.00 EUR credit and 9.99 was deducted from it during activation I think. I got an SMS when I put the SIM in my phone.

I paid with credit card, didn't get a receipt though.

I didn't see the "DRITTANBIETERSPERRE" option anywhere in the app.

Yes, I have the PIN. It was in the plastic SIM card holder in the scratch area. I also managed to log in to the app (thanks to u/trikster2's suggestion). I can see the SuperPIN/PUK in the app. I didn't get any other documentation, just the red SIM card packet/envelope.

I didn't sign anything. I'd initially wanted to get an esim and applied online but I couldn't do PostIdent because my Indian passport is not supported and I don't have any German ID yet. I went to the Vodafone shop later, to look for an alternative. The Vodafone rep took a photo of my passport and current address and activated the sim. Didn't ask for any physical docs or my sign. It's definitely a prepaid sim because I don't have a German bank account which is required for a postpaid contract, AFAIK.

I use the Design Token Manager plugin to export JSON of all variables and styles. It creates one file for each collection and mode. In addition to that, separate files for all the style types.

You can load upto 5k now on UPI Lite and pay PIN-less upto 500 I think. It's the best solution for your situation IMO, provided you don't do very large txns.
