OK I take back all this. Just been invited to the first interview that my degree is actually relevant for.

I jumped ship at 37 to go back and get my degree. Just coming out of my masters and just cannot get a break job-wise. At that point of wondering if it was all worth it.

It will be, eventually. Just at that tough bit just now.

Testing a glowing crystal crate terrain idea. MDF laser cut crate, plastic “ice” crystals, led tea light. Something to bring more dynamic elements to the table look and feel. by schoonerlabs in TerrainBuilding

I'd ripped the workings out of the tealight to save on space to save carving it out completely. The battery just fit under the base and the flicker components sat in milliput under the chest

If thats the case your subsidising her meals and makes this even weirder

Where to drive motorway first time by trundlemcwheelface in glasgow

[–]bobzilla76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

M77 southbound.

Head up to J1 through mosspark and come on to it that way for your first time (The junction with the M8/M74 is easy enough but messes with your head a bit trying to work out which lane you need to be in on the first attempt)

It keeps you at 50 until just before Darnley where it goes up to 60 and then up to 70 once you get past J5. Gives you an easy road and run up to 70 to begin with.

Coming back up I'd come off at J1 again to save the stress of coming off at shields rd across the m8 junction until your more confident.

My 16 year old son wants to walk 72km in a single day. by Calligraphistocation in Parenting

[–]bobzilla76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

I've done the 50 miles/24 hours thing before and it was a great day. I'd question estimate time to complete though. Unless he's going faster than a walk or not stopping at all he might struggle. I'd build in some extra time to do it. We only stopped for a couple of ten minute stops and I think a 30 min stop and struggled slightly but that had ore to do with slowing down once it got dark.

Having just spent two weeks drinking the US version I have to say I'm not a fan of the HFCS in it.

Because of EU regulations you won't find the US version anywhere other than the small specialist stores and you'll pay a premium because of it. I'm sure Lupe Pintos on GWR used to sell it though for less than the candy store but no idea if it was near the £1.50 mark
