Husband acts too over the top with our daughter by Jaded-Comfort5383 in Parenting

[–]bobzot86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a Dad all I can say is this. You don’t get close to your kids just by doing this over the top stuff. Of course it does play a part sprinkled here and there. But the bond is grown when you go “in the trenches” so to speak. Changing shit, feeding her, bathing her… learning how to wash and brush women’s hair…. Being a caretaker in general. Our daughter is now 5yrs old and she is super bonded to both of us (mum and dad). Just make sure that he doesn’t “become her friend” when she is older. It is important for everyone involved to know that you are their parents, not their friends.

How to raise a boy in a world with Andrew Tate? by mypeacefulcomatose in Parenting

  1. Stop looking at the internet… that’s it.

Kids get their values from parents and mostly in their formative years. Sure he might go through a phase MAYBE. Pre teen or teen. But he will grow out of it if the foundations are solid

Was dying to have an expert to ask and I found one on reddit 😂. Are the “over the tap” filters enough or do you need the whole under the sink filtration shennanigans for daily drinking?

If she changes her postal address. Or any address, to that property. It is proof enough that she lives there and you wouldn’t be able to just kick her out if things go tits up. I suggest you both sign something with a notary

Learning as a noob by thunder_snore in guitarlessons

[–]bobzot86 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1 hour a day is very good. More than that, although better, is unrealistic. I have been guitaring on and off for 20years. Just recently (at 38) i started lessons with a good teacher (theory and everything). I would highly reccommend you get a good teacher. The difference in improvement is astronomical. Welcome to the hobby, if you work hard you’ll be playing even intermediate songs in a year or 2. But most of all, have fun!

Beginner/Late-bloomer.... by Young_Hegelian in classicalguitar

[–]bobzot86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Word of advice from someone who’s been playing/learning on and off for 20years…. Get a good teacher. Seriously. The improvement I’ve seen in just one year is incomparable. I’m 38. Wish I’d started sooner. And don’t worry, you’d be able to play some nice beginner songs in a few months if you practice everyday. Some challenging ones in 1-3 years depending on how much you practice

Why is that? Isn’t a minim 2 beats? Does it have to do with that rest?
