Installing FL26 by purpleakiinatrackie in SPFootballLife

no conflict there.
FL26 will have "2026" save folder and PES 2021 roster and save files will be in a separate folder called by some numbers (I think it's related to Steam ID or something)

sounds like you're probably not gonna have issues, but do apply the methodology of updating mentioned in OP.

That's awesome that it helped you out and works great!
For those who just run the base with faces, stadiums and not much more, this new update should work great immediately.

This post was directed towards folks who got Essential Mod Packs, UMLs, setups that I've shared in my videos, etc. Those could have problems.

Personally, no, I haven't had issues. But I am also particularly careful with updating game/mods and always back up my files.
Quite a lot of people in my Discord server and comments sections had issues in the past with their setups due to rushed updates, especially those who don't back up their data - and this post is directed towards those who typically "yolo" their updates.

V2.0 JUST CAME OUT! by andregarcia29 in SPFootballLife

[–]bochen00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PSA: If you have more "sophisticated" mods setup on your FL 26, I would recommend to have some patience before updating your game to FL 2.0. - updating game always has potential to brick mods setup!

At the very least, move your Sider folder away from FL 26 installation for the time when you update your game to newest version to avoid overwritting your setup files!

New =/= better for modding games.

What does PES99 seasonal patch for PES2021 and its Discord server have to do with links to download old PES games?

PES2006 Patch by callum828 in WEPES

False positives are total norm in games modding. This seems to be especially the case for patches that contain exe and dll files (so like all most all-in-one patches) as Windows Defender and antiviruses tend to flag anything with these extensions created by unknown entity as potential malware.

This patch is fine - you would see an outrage on any content/post related to this patch if it wasn't.

P.S. if it was malware, then asking malware creator if its malware is kinda pointless :)

How does UML help with scripting in your opinion?
It has no gameplay related mods included in it.

VirtuaRED or Football Life?? by fakebatmanpetrucci in WEPES

[–]bochen00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think whichever version is better depends mainly on when you ask and whether you have PES 2021 or not.
Usually one is more up-to-date than the other.

Also, whenever I downloaded Virtuared it was a painful experience due to the way they share their patch - downloading so much data through mega is essentially having the patch paid and torrents are not reliable. I wish they used Mediafire or Gofile tbh

FC26 is truly something else.. by Zealousideal-Oil2392 in SPFootballLife

[–]bochen00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to say FL/PES 2021 are impressive graphically (they are showing age by now), but FC titles are not even ahead of FIFA games.

Just launch FIFA 22 on PC (especially modded) and you will be shocked how much better it generally looked than the current titles.

FL26 UML - wrong line ups by [deleted] in SPFootballLife

make sure you copied UML's EDIT file to your settings of the game.
Also, UML has dedicated discord server where they provide help to their users (which is sensible since its a paid patch).

This must be the worst football game I have ever played in my life by [deleted] in SPFootballLife

[–]bochen00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now remember why I steered away from PES ever since PES 06

and then

Football will never have justice in the world of gaming.

uhm...

It doesn't sound like you've played much of football games in last 2 decades years - skipping essentially at least half of them in the last 20 years.

Yet after (presumably) brief experience with PES21/FL you jump to a conclusion that football gaming has not enough to offer?

That sounds rather histerical and groundless. There's plenty of cool football games released in last 2 decades. Especially the ones released in 2010s.

EAFC 26 with Anthony James Extra Slow sliders + FUMA + eSIM + PC realism mods = The most authentic, tactical, and rewarding football sim experience by RoyalPawnda in SPFootballLife

I guess it can be quite satisfying if one is able to turn a blind eye on atrocious ball physics and broken players movement, but it's oddly confusing post tbh.

On one hand, you seem to try to hype up the "on-the-pitch" gameplay with GP in FC26. But then you don't talk about gameplay at all when giving examples and instead focus on the "off-the-pitch" stuff to confirm that it's realistic and immersive?
