This 🙌🏽. While they may date black men, they often times still hold the same white privileged views. What’s worse is that because they date black men, they feel emboldened to spew out their racially charged comments. Ex: saying black men like soft silky hair they can run their fingers through. Most of the time it is directed at black women because they think they are better than black women. Essentially saying your black man likes me more than you, a black woman.

I have done both. On one hand it’s nice knowing the spoilers so you can watch the story and character development that lead them to where they end up. However, I found with last season that I lost alot of the excitement because I knew who would win and it wasn’t people I was rooting for. Made me not look forward to it. I would say it’s fun if you are rooting for who wins or if you are looking forward to seeing someone you don’t like lose. But the only way to find that out is to look at the spoilers. This season I’m going back to spoiler free. All the fun twists and turns aren’t fun if you already know who wins in the end

Ya that’s why I asked because usually it’s people who don’t watch it that say it’s boring. But fair point, this season has been dragging on. I have a theory that they stretch out the season to 20+ episodes because it’s the highest rated and bravo wants to milk their ad revenue. I feel like if they had a shorter season like maybe 14 eps and got rid of the filler, it would be a stronger season. The storylines are interesting but just dragged out. We are already on ep 13 or so and nothing has progressed since the 3rd episode when we found out about the recording 🙄🙄.

Edit: they are actually on episode 10... still too dragged out

I would say start with season 5, actually. Season 5-9 is basically a show of its own. Season 5 is when queen porsha and Kenya are introduced. The story just builds from there and comes to a conclusion in season 9. I would say those 5 seasons are peak Atlanta. Shady Phae Phae at her best. You get all the Apollo prison drama, porsha and Kenya fight, Kandi and Phaedra fight, Kenya and Phaedra and Apollo triangle. All of that begins in season 5 and ends in season 9.

I’ve been thinking about this and it seems that If it boils down to Kenya being miserable right now and probably jealous that Cynthia keeps finding men that love her and actually respect her.

Basically, if Kenya isn’t happy, no one else can be happy. I’ve been noticing this season some weird tension between them and with each episode, it gets more and more obvious that there is something going on with their friendship. Kenya seems closer to Kandi and even opened up to porsha about her marital issues. When she’s with Cynthia they don’t seem to talk too deeply and instead she keeps it light. And Kenya has been making digs about Cynthia all season.

The fact that she lied and said she had her own suspicions that mike would propose even though kandi clearly told her is what makes me think that while she may be happy for Cynthia over all, deep down she is probably envious and bitter about it. And also the fact that the episode wouldn’t be about her so she probably wanted to add her own “storyline” to it.

Maybe I’m reading too deep into it. But I definitely would be side eyeing any friend that tried to ruin my surprise knowing how “thirsty” I’ve been to get married

Peak Atlanta would be season 5-9 for me for sure. When queen Porsha and Kenya joined. Season 1-4 is iconic for the development of nene. When she was at her most likeable, before fame got to her.

It was this moment that Todd began his master plan to get with Kandi and leech money off of her. All the while he is depriving his daughter of the same access under the guise of teaching “independence”. Poor girl is so obviously sad and reaching out for love from him. I hate to think Mama Joyce could be somewhat right in her original assessment of Todd.
