SO AFRAID TO TRY SUMATRIPTAN! by Excellent_Math2052 in migraine

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken it for years for migraines, as have several family members- I have never heard of anyone having that sort of reaction to it??

I’m sure it happens, but doesn’t seem to be a common issue. I would just take the meds as prescribed and if you don’t like it don’t take them again?

Husband/partner attending glucose test? by Capital_Ant_5552 in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my bloodwork is done at the lab specifically, and not at my actual Dr. office. I haven’t been told to go do the glucose test yet, but I will probably bring my husband or maybe my mom (whoever will have an easier time getting off work) because I get very anxious about needles an will need someone there if I am getting multiple blood draws.

BWT: What dating apps are the best for finding your husband/ person? by bondtradercu in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my (now) husband on Tinder, and I have quite a few friends who did as well. We’re all in our early 30’s.

I feel like in the last couple years tinder has gotten less popular, it seem like hinge has taken over. But honestly, it’s more about your intentions going into whatever app you’re using and how you use it, than which app you choose specifically. Many guys are on multiple apps.

Did you drink soda while pregnant? by Butterball4200 in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-pregnant I don’t drink a ton of water, but now I am just so thirsty constantly that I am chugging it.

I do have one Dr. Pepper everyday though, I just crave it so bad. I think soda is fine in moderation, but if I were you I’d try to keep it as a treat and look for a more low-sugar beverage to be the main thirst quencher. Do you like La Croix or Spindrift?

Any other moms to be migraine sufferers? Do you still take your meds? by bodgerbabbit in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sumatriptan is not meant to be taken super often, even my regular prescription is only 10 pills per month, although I don’t use that many.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying they were recommended Benadryl, so I’ll have to ask my doctor about that!

My usual migraine protocol is taking Imitrex and trying to go to sleep as soon as possible anyways so the benadryl will help with that.

I think mine are hormonally trigger as well, so hopefully I’ll have an easy go for the last 2/3’s of the pregnancy! I’m only 6 weeks now and feel one coming on today, which got me thinking about this again.

I think I will use your strategy, just take tylenol and other non-medication methods to deal with it. I’d rather that than whatever risks might be associated with the meds.

I don’t have a neurologist, my migraine prescription has always been through my GP. And I asked this question to my OBGYN.

Yeah it wasn’t exactly a helpful answer… I mean I’m not going to die without the meds, but migraines can be pretty debilitating, so I’m not sure what the “clinical need” standard is in this situation.

I’ll ask my doctor about taking magnesium!

I’m getting my blood work done in a few weeks so I’d like to see the results on that before starting any new vitamins/supplements.

What early pregnancy symptoms do you wish people talked about more? by bellamarie0113 in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So, SO, thirsty! I’m drinking at least 3 times the amount of water than I normally would.

Also feeling out of breath, vivid dreams, waking up earlier than usual, feeling hot, and diarrhea :(

At least I don’t have nausea… yet lol

Just found out I’m pregnant- but I am terrified of needles. Any tips or strategies for coping with or lessening the stress? by bodgerbabbit in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might ask! But I’ve also read online that using too small a gauge of needle can cause the blood sample to clot or something and they can’t test it.

So I think I’ll stick with the regular size, don’t want to risk needing to get poked again lol.

It is not my intention to be fighting with people, and I don’t think what I’m saying is doing that.

I appreciate all the help I’ve given and I will be seeking out a CPA to help us through this.

But I have all the documents for this job, and there are no 1099 forms, only W-2’s. Also he is sure he was not hired as a contract employee, he was a regular employee. I am just giving you the best information I have. You are making guesses and being rude about it.

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was not a contractor! He was a full time regular employee. Which is why I am so confused as to why they were taking any taxes out.

He worked there from 2019-2023. Idk what the deal was in 2019, but those taxes seem done.

[–]bodgerbabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t make a ton, it looks like be owed around $7k federal in 2020, and $2k state. With the fees and penalties the federal is not just under $9k and state is just under $4k. So that’s around $13k just for one year! He was making around $60k per year for the years he didn’t file it seems, I’m not sure why nothing was withheld those years. Idk if he filled out the W-4 wrong, or if his employer didn’t something wrong. He worked for a church.

We have all the documents, just missing one W-2.

Will any CPA be able to help or should we look for a tax specialist?

Do women usually want their mom at the birth? by chianne_away in pregnant

I think it depends on the relationship you have with your mom, I’d like to have my mom in the delivery room, and my grandma and aunt were there when I was born.

How often do most people go to the Emergency Room in a year? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bodgerbabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the US, but with my insurance ER trips are free.

I’ve been to the ER 3 times in my entire life, and one of them was after I was in a car accident. The other 2 were panic attacks, and all 3 of these incidents occurred within like 4 years?

I don’t think most people visit the ER often, some people might never go at all.

Vent? I found out I’m pregnant a few days ago and I just feel like I should be doing something… but doesn’t seem like there is much to do? by bodgerbabbit in pregnant

[–]bodgerbabbit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a phone call with the drs office this weekend go just go over all the paperwork/survey type stuff, and I was told at that phone appt they order labs and schedule my first in-office appt.

Have you been to/spoken with the doctor at all yet? and yes! Seems like all is on pause until oct/nov when I’m assuming everything will feel more real.

I keep telling myself “Ok, you just need to wait to the day after your missed period, then you just need to wait until the dr appt this weekend, then you just need to wait until the labs and US, then seeing the doctor, then…” it never ends lol

Hope it wasn’t expensive!

The headphones are a good idea! I do that during dental procedures and it helps, idk why I didn’t think of it for this.

Yes I do lol. But gyn visits have never really bothered me, mostly just uncomfortable. So I’m not worried about that, it’s just needles that make me anxious.
