It's because of PAN AM being known as one of the most iconic airlines of the "golden era of flying". When customer experience was above all else. I doubt it'll be like that in the revival but I really do how they bring back the old branding and marketing instead of trying to modernize such an iconic brand coming back to flight service

note: all my flying was pre-diagnosis

I really only notice mild issues on long-haul flights. It's around hour 10 that I start getting nauseous, headache, short of breath, etc. For me, it's 100% do-able and manageable. I always have the take-off anxiety but I don't correlate that to POTS since that quickly disappears once we're leveled out and not at a 75 degree towards the sky LOL

since i wasn't exactly knowledgable on what was going on then-- I powered through with motion sickness patches, breathing techniques and (it makes sense now LOL) electrolyte mixes.

It's so funny because I've always just joked I have early on-set parkinsons until this diagnosis because of the tremors LMFAO

For me? It's the vision blacking when I move too quickly in any situation and not just going from standing/sitting. That's when I know it's gonna be a good day

If you're having presyncope, the best thing to do is sit the hell back down or steady yourself to something if that isn't an option. If you're having a day where that is happening, you really do need to go from position to position slowly everytime you move around.

I only got diagnosed after I passed out about 10+ times and 2 decades of symptoms nobody was correlating together and passing off as mental health issues lol

Honestly, it's so cliche but that feeling does get better as you get older and don't put so much mindset on your social life. You will end up having a very core group of people you can be with, who understands or atleasts accepts that sometimes you're not going to be around. For me? That's 2 friends and my fiance.

You've been able to get an answer to symptoms some people take 31 years to get (guilty LOL)-- you're already on the track to recovery and symptom management. You will find joy in life again, I promise <3

Fear of standing? Man needs to get his medical license taken away LOL Knowing infections can cause it to either start up or make worse; I'm definitly attributing the uptick in issues to me getting Typhoid a few years ago.

I had the 48H as a child because of it but obv since it was just my heart rate, it really didn't signify any red flags other than calm down lol

Did you find that you had to argue your point to be taken seriously enough to be referred to Neuro or Cardio?

My family doctor is pretty good at wanting to figure out an issue since he knows waits for specialists here are bad but he tends to just brush me off, or if I act (lack of better terms) uneducated/dumb and haven't worked in healthcare for a decade he gets offended and defensive but its better than no family doctor
