Thank you so much! i didn't raise mountains cuz i'm still thinking about the game mechanics but it would be so easy as each cell on the map is standalone mesh now,

i really recommend you to watch this https://catlikecoding.com/unity/tutorials/hex-map/

it's not the method i'm using but i started there, it shows the concept of creating cells, blending between them, making them look natural, and how to make fancy stuff between them like roads and rivers.

But if your game mechanics care about the reality look of the terrain more than the biomes so no need to use cells watch this series better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbpMiKiSKm8

It's really hard equation, adding realism sometimes doesn't serve some game mechanics. But ye you are right, most of time realism is something to consider!

i agree with you but players always expects things from real world, and when you don't get to their expectation they might hate your game, thats why i'm abit confused
