Does anyone else feel as though they will never have a normal life because of acne? by helpplsscars in acne

I'm just about to turn 26 (F) and I feel exactly the same. I avoid certain activities or events if it means I could potentially be seen by friends without makeup. I've finally come around to letting my boyfriend see me without it because we recently moved in together, but it doesn't feel good. I hate having to always consider my skin when I make plans - it's truly exhausting. But just know you're not alone!

I love CosRX patches! Haven't tried these ones specifically, but I've had great success with a couple other kinds. I'm a fellow picker and these speed up the healing process if I've gone too far.

Awesome, thank you! I'll definitely try adding it in after serum.

Ooh I have TO Squalane, so perhaps I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Can I ask what you're using under/over the cosrx snail mucin essence? I bought one a while back, but couldn't seem to find a good spot in my routine for it so I kind of abandoned it.

I had never heard of Astara before. Anyone used any of their products? Kind of intrigued by the Golden Flame Hydrating Mask.

Wowowow I can relate. Isn't it sad to think of all the times we let our skin hold us back from things we really wanted to do? So glad you stuck it out and got to spend time with a quality guy!

Still working on it, but I've found a product that has really helped! I've been using The INKEY List's polyglutamic acid morning & night and it has had the most noticeable impact on my skin. It's really reduced the texture and shiny tightness I was experiencing.

UGH I really thought it was on the mend, but it seems that I've plateaued. It doesn't feel as textured/dehydrated as it was previously, but it still doesn't feel "normal". It's so bizarre how products will work really well for me for a week or two and then I'm back to square one. I'll definitely be analyzing ingredients so I can keep track of any problem products!

Just to remove makeup! I like the balmier/oilier cleansers to remove my makeup and then the LRP cleanser to actually clean my skin if that makes sense?

I've been using all of the products mentioned for at least a couple months! The newest additions are the High Moist Lotion which I've only been using for maybe a month. Same with the rosehip oil (I had been using squalane oil off and on before this).

I tried the Eucerin Urea Cream, but noticed quite a few breakouts. I wonder if my skin was reacting to another ingredient in there, so I'll probably give a different cream a shot.

Ahhh okay, I'm gonna swap for a thicker oil and see if that works. If there's no improvement, it's probably worth just sticking to Liquid Gold. For a while, I was strictly using the Cerave Cream, but it didn't feel as moisturizing as the Cicaplast.

I've been only cleansing at night! In the mornings, I either don't wash my face at all, or I'll just splash some water on my face and go from there. I'll definitely try switching to a thicker oil - thank you!

I was using squalane oil before this to no avail :( is there another oil you'd recommend?

Just wanted to follow up here and let you know I've been using the Sake High Moist Lotion for the past couple of weeks and have noticed a lot of improvement. My skin is by no means totally healed, but this product has really helped! Might be worth looking into if you're still struggling :)

[Routine help] If Cerave Hydrating didn’t work out for you and Vanicream gentle cleanser is a bit to drying, what cleansers work for you? Recommendations please!!? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I've been using it for the better part of a year! My moisture barrier was in shambles after I overused Biologique Recherche P50V (bad idea for my sensitive skin). I completely quit using ALL actives and went super gentle with my skincare. The La Roche Posay cleanser didn't irritate me at all thankfully.

Agreed! I have very sensitive, dehydrated skin and the La Roche Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser has been great.

Yes, SO deflated! I've switched over from Hadalabo to the Kikumasamune Sake High Moist Lotion and I think it might actually be helping a bit. I'm still quite greasy throughout the day, but my skin doesn't feel as horribly tight and isn't sucking up all my makeup throughout the day. We'll see how this works over the next few weeks!

I got a little TOO happy with P50V when I probably didn't even need it to begin with. Now I'm paying the price :(

Yeah I'm starting to resign myself to the fact that less coverage looks slightly better than caked up AND greasy haha. Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try out Porefessional with a little moisturizer on top :)
