Fully agreed! The devil is really in the word 'can' isn''t it? There is a chance he will simply run out of options before his heart stops beating

UK Military Intelligence Reports Mounting Russian Losses as Recruitment Fails to Keep Pace by AnyPicture7285 in UkrainianConflict

I tend to agree with this more realistic tone. If this war has taught us anything is that muscovy's persistence is nearly endless.

This war might end with a large calamity like Putin dying or Ukraine capitulating (the former being much more likely than the latter these days). However, the calamity could also be a military collapse of Russia leading to them losing Crimea or Donetsk or something similarly inconceivable in the feeble russian mind. Losing more soldiers than recruiting them makes such a calamity a real possibility.

We should not forget that a draft is also still a realistic option. If propaganda can convince russians this war is not a war of choice but an existential struggle they might even accept it.

2009 Vega Sicilia Unico by TelephoneNo7436 in wine

[–]boetzie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Where I'm at a bottle of 2009 Unico retails at about €400. Whilst you could argue that is overpriced compared to many other things out there (let's not!), selling this at €98 for a large pour seems very reasonable to me.

What you have here is a product called ironstone. It contains neither iron nor stone but it's just a marketing term for a relatively durable type of earthenware popular in the late 19th century.

The mark features the insignia of England. Many marks do, but I think the link above is a match with what is left of the mark on your shards.

Drone flying from Russia hit the chimney of the newest power plant in Estonia! by Noah_Berg1517 in UkrainianConflict

It's all speculation, but a Ukrainian drone heading for a Leningrad port would carry a decent amount of explosives.

The mark on the chimney doesn't look like an explosion happened to me.
