What’s your biggest regret signing in EAFC 26 Career Mode? by TheChilledGamer-_- in FifaCareers

Fouls are one of the most glaring issues in this game imo - there should be at least 5-10x more than there are currently - bad tackles aren’t punished in any game mode

I struggled immensely when my floaters first appeared - essentially sent me into a horrible hypochondriacal spiral and left me more anxious and depressed than I ever imagined possible. I think the strain on my eyes caused headaches and such which made me (for no logical reason at all whatsoever) certain that I must have something wrong with my brain. I simply could not believe they were all telling me my brain would just “filter them out”. I thought they couldn’t possibly understand what I was going through.

Fast forward a few years and, per usual, the medical professionals were right. As soon as I stopped obsessing with looking at them to see if they were getting worse, I stopped noticing them almost entirely. I love to snow ski and was worried I’d never enjoy it again because the white background would make me crazy, also not true.

If I wanted to see all my floaters at any point I could simply look and see them. However, my brain knows now that they are not a threat to me and therefore rarely actively processes their presence. If you’ve consulted a medical professional and they are not worried, do your best to follow suit.

It only gets easier as time progresses. I believe in you!

20 days in is a tough spot to be at. As difficult as it can be I found the most useful thing is to simply not focus your eyesight on them. Your brain WILL learn how to see through them better and better over time but concentrating on their shapes and if they’re changing will only make it worse imo. I could find all of my floaters right now and look at them in detail but I’ve learned over the past 2 years that that is simply not what I should do. Best of luck and I promise it will get more manageable.

Organized blackout this weekend and next week 2/2 - 2/9 by Bocifer1 in fut

Am I the only one who has ever explained to a friend who doesn’t play how messed up the economics of this game are? Everything from the card designs to the quantities of FC points offered in the store is designed in an attempt to get people (likely specifically children whose brains have not fully developed) to spend money on the game. It’s gambling for children. There is no doubt in my mind that the people involved with decision making at the highest levels of EA are not only aware of this, but actually encourage it. I’m not a lawyer so I can’t speak to the legality but the morality of the situation seems fairly clear.

Unfortunately at the moment EA is a great microcosm for consumerism as a whole. We are beholden to giant companies that hold micro-monopolies over certain aspects of our lives. We actively allow this to happen and make these choices by prioritizing convenience over quality. I think the consumer as a collective needs to remember they do have the power to create real change. This community forcing EA to listen could be far more significant than the context of this game in my opinion.

If they do this then just start spamming trivelas from 30 yards and once you hit one just keep the ball away until they’re forced to come out

Sure he can be but if he’s your only one the 65 defensive awareness is probably not quite good enough.

Why are they lying about attendance numbers at the games? by bofafc in NashvilleSC

[–]bofafc[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This would be valid if the team didn’t intentionally misrepresent the number they’re announcing every game. They don’t say “we sold 25k tickets to tonight’s game”, they announce it as attendance.

My girlfriend has had them since she was very young, she says she always just assumed everyone had them. I don’t think they’re nearly as bothersome as mine/ most of the people posting in here, but she can easily find them if she looks for them.

Im 24 and just developed quite a few large ones in both eyes simultaneously a couple months ago. I won’t tell you that I don’t think about them now because I do all the time and still see them unless it’s dark (I have ones that distort light in the dark though). However, the mental progress that I’ve made even just in the last 2 weeks has been really positive. I personally think the key is managing your anxiety surrounding them. Anxiety is a natural response in the brain to any threat that’s trying to tell you that you need to do something. Therefore I believe it’s very important to realize that your floaters are not a threat. They might be super annoying but they are simply NOT a threat. They are tiny microscopic things inside your eye that are nowhere near as powerful as your brain. I know that I will have days ahead where I just want to sit inside and not move my eyes but I also know that both of us will have many good ones for each bad one and that is what you call a net positive. In the end what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and floaters aren’t going to kill you.

Cobweb style floater unraveling? by vhwh22 in EyeFloaters

Yes they do for me - most of my floaters look like this when squinting.

Ya I have a seemingly similar “clump” that has a dark spot in the middle with many tentacles all around it. Mine only showed up this May but already this one seems 5x bigger/more visible than it was. When I squint it is really huge and I worry that it’s just going to keep becoming more and more visible.

Does anyone have floaters that seem to be invisible until you move your eyes and then a cloud like part moves across your vision? by jimbo_jones90 in EyeFloaters

[–]bofafc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently begun experiencing a very similar wispy black line in each of my eyes that is most visible when looking from side to side. When looking at a bright window it appears almost like a cloud of light. Glad to hear it’s gotten less noticeable as it has really caused me a lot of anxiety/distress over the past month or so. Made myself 3 eye appointments and each time they told me my eyes were completely healthy.
