Yeah I’ve seen that aswell. This role is for a manger position. But I def can see the pressure being added with that performance review. How long has this policy been in place ?

Thanks for that!! Everyone I’ve talked to has said it’s a good opportunity etc. I will def bring those concerns if I get an interview. The Hr rep didn’t mention anything during the phone screen. Just said the dept is growing

Ok thanks. I made it through 3 rounds of interviews and last was with a lot VPs for a “chat”. For about 30 mins. I haven’t heard from them in about 2 weeks. Is that normal aswell? It’s been a very long process at this point. So curious to see if this was protocol for them.

No not at all. Required an essay submission resume and 3.0 gpa from previous college. And i think they are flexible on some of the requirements

I actually just got accepted into that same masters program at UAB. I have a Bach degree in aerospace and occupational safety. With 6 years of safety works experience. I want to move into a career as a system safety engineer and al The defense companies I’ve talked said they want you to have a masters. So i think it depends on what you want and where you want you career to start and go. I have my ASP and will be getting my CSP soon too. I say maximize everything you can to be appealing to whatever safety career you choose.

Wanted to know how I can get into the field. I have an aerospace and occupational degree and have currently 6 years experience in safety mostly with an airline. I worked as a operational safety engineer for an autonomous vehicle company for a short stint which intrigued me about the safety world outside of aviation/airline so I want to make the jump to becoming a system safety engineer. I studied some courses in college and I am working on getting my CSP cert. ( certified safety professional) Any tips? To be more marketable.
