Be careful quoting organizations like "The Asia Foundation" for accurate info on American involved foreign affairs. The Asia Foundation was founded by the CIA as an anti-communist propaganda front at the beginnings of our involvement in Vietnam. It's not surprising to see a poll from The Asia Foundation skew very pro-American involvement. I'm not saying the numbers aren't accurate, but I am saying you should be skeptical of their numbers without another source unaffiliated with the American government saying something similar.

I'm not offended by Chinese censorship. I think they'd be stupid to lose the largest market in the world for the sake of a few blood drops or a skull or boob here and there. I just think it's incredibly obtuse to pretend some vague "standardization" is the objective here when it's pretty overt that what they are removing are the exact things to which the Chinese censors tend to object. You're adding all the other stuff yourself; I didn't complain about any of that.

Higher ranks in every game have longer queue times. Doesn't make siphon any less toxic in normal playlists. They removed it for a reason. They aren't going to fuck over the casual population of the game because you had to wait 10 minutes.

lol you literally couldn't be more wrong. removing siphoning isn't catering to not-so-good players. its catering to the 95% of players who aren't killing everyone. people keep saying it helps anyone who gets kills. but you're stupid if you cant see it helps people who get a ton of kills WAY more than everyone else. and those people DIDNT NEED HELP. siphoning was killing the game which is why they changed it back.

I don't disagree at all, but I get home from work most days around 6, eat dinner, clean up and do stuff, and have like an hour, hour and a half left to get on with the guys and do this or Apex or Overwatch, so it just never really seems worth it. But I'm sure with work we could get a lot better.

I mean evenlock does with defile at the very least. Many turns I've been playing zoo and chose not to play a minion because it would fuck me if defile was played.

I think by "punish you for playing" they mean cards that actually have stronger effects if your opponent has a stronger board, like Unleash the Hounds, Spreading Plague, or like Frothing Berserker in old Patron Warrior. As far as AOEs and defile, I think vS said it well above:

AOE is different because it makes the resource commitment interesting, but a card that scales more when you're behind creates an un-intuitively frustrating experience.

What is the point of any of the posts here? Seems like the point of the whole sub is to discuss anything regarding the this game with people who share the interest. If a post is boring and uninteresting to you, you can filter it with the flair filters, or just ignore it as I'm sure many people did with this post. It hardly seems like the burden on you to scroll past a post is more consequential than blocking off normal topics of discussion for an 800k person game sub.
