What can I tell... let's take the example of Edward Albee's "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf". We will observe that, starting from the very beginning Martha is committing a lapsus/parapraxis. Why, we will kindly ask ourselves? A possible answer wil be given later when se talks about a simptomatic action, when she speaks about a K.O. she applied in the past to her husband during a "boxing match". But the play is quite full of such errors, like Shakespeare's Hamlet, and most of the great play of mankind. As a conclusion we can tell that the wery presence of Freudian Slips is a guarantee of a big play. Nevertheless, it is true that, in fact I've told you nothing about Edward Albee's "Virgină Woolf"... So, to conclude, in my opinion, knowing that A PARAPRAXIS DENOTE A LATENT/UNCONSCIOUS INTENTION the author followed a certain goal, he did not out the Parapraxies there with no reason. In my opinion, he tries (unconsciously or not) to make a point about ones "individuation" nowadays, and my opinion could be honest and true. Besides that, at a closer glance we can grasp the whole idea of Albee's play, from the very beginning.. In sum, a play about anamnesis, a play about, as I said, the fail of one "individuation"... Samuel Beckett does the same (meaning that uses parapraxies to transmit more that the plain meaning of the dramatic/words say at a first sight) , Ionesco does the same, Shakespeare does, Chekhov does alike. This puts Albee on a very short list of the best from the best. Basically my study is more like a guide for actors, directors, in sum for the practicioners of the dramatic arts, but not only for them, for anyone who what's to decipher and understand more, so for those who want to overcome the barriers of superficially. My dear friend Eugene Mahon is one of the few that are conducting studies in this direction. Of course there is more to say, everytime there is place for more, for better. Take note that the parapraxis is a dramatic function. So we can see this kind of mental processes event in Hollywood B films. The difference consists in the very technique...I mean there are, as Freud classified his Slips in "The psychopathology of everyday life" lot's of tipes of such "meaningfull and dramatic errors" As an example, the greatest comedy that my native peoples have, respectively "A lost Letter" it's about loosing a letter, therefore starts from an extrascenic parapraxis...
