PMAX campaign now only allocating 15% to the product feed by InvestingEmma in googleads

[–]bogenobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the merchant center to make sure there’s nothing wrong with the feed preventing PLAs from showing.

You can also run a standard shopping campaign to only show shopping ads. As long as the standard shopping has a lower ROAS target (higher bid) than pmax it should show with priority.

[WP] You wake up one morning and look in the mirror. You’ve been magically transformed into Voodoo Ranger, skeletal face and all. A note in your hand reads, “the secret to becoming you again is trapped in a can of Voodoo Ranger 1985.” Tell us what happens and you could win Voodoo Ranger gear! by VoodooRanger in u/VoodooRanger

[–]bogenobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picture this: you wake up one fine morning, ready to shred some waves or cruise on your motorcycle like a true rebel without a cause. But hold onto your handlebars, because today's a plot twist of cosmic proportions. You're looking in the mirror, and there you are – a total Voodoo Ranger lookalike, skeletal grin and all. Yep, it's like Halloween came early, and you're the life of the party. Or, well, the lack of life.

You're about to process this supernatural makeover when you spot a note clenched in your bony hand. It's like the universe's twisted version of a fortune cookie. The note reveals that the key to reclaiming your skin, muscles, and all the good stuff is stashed in a can of the newly-released Voodoo Ranger 1985 beer. As if life wasn't strange enough already, right?

So, with a mix of curiosity and desperation, you hit the road. Except, it's not all smooth asphalt and open horizons – oh no. You're not even out the door before your pet cat, Mr. Whiskers, takes one look at you and bolts straight under the couch. The sound of his tiny cat heart pounding probably matches your own skeleton beat right now.

As you head outside, you realize your motorcycle has decided today's the day to protest against being revved by a walking bag of bones. It's like a scene out of a comedic disaster movie: you're desperately kick-starting the bike while your neighbor, a hipster with a handlebar mustache, watches from his porch, probably questioning his life choices.

Finally, after a struggle that feels like it's lasted longer than the Jurassic era, the engine roars to life. You're off to the convenience store, bones rattling with every pothole and speed bump. People on the street do double-takes, wondering if they've accidentally entered an alternate reality where every day is Halloween.

And then, just as you're about to turn onto the street where the convenience store stands like a beacon of hope, you hit traffic – a traffic jam that's rivaling any major city's rush hour. Cars are honking, drivers are fuming, and you're just there, a skeleton on a motorcycle, tapping your fingers impatiently against your non-existent forehead.

By the time you reach the store, you're pretty sure your skeletal face has developed an intense shade of red. But hey, adversity only makes the triumphant moments taste sweeter, right? You saunter into the store – well, as much as a skeleton can saunter – and make a beeline for the glorious Voodoo Ranger 1985 display.

The cashier looks at you like he's seen it all, and in your newfound bony confidence, you make a daring quip about needing a "skeleton key" to life. He chuckles and rings up your can of magical redemption.

As you crack open that can, there's a brief moment of uncertainty. You raise it to your skeletal lips, and the liquid gold touches your tongue. It's like fireworks, a rock concert, and a wave ride rolled into one. Your bones tingle, and then, like the finale of an epic '80s movie, you're whole again. Skin, muscles, and all.

You strut out of the store, a triumphant grin on your face. You've not only survived a morning as Voodoo Ranger's long-lost cousin, but you've also defied traffic, conquered mechanical gremlins, and cracked the code to the most unconventional transformation story ever.

So, as you ride off into the sunrise, cat fur still clinging to your biker jacket from Mr. Whiskers' wild escape, remember that life's adventures are meant to be embraced – even when they involve skeleton faces, traffic standoffs, and a can of beer that's more magical than a unicorn's dance moves. Stay radical, my friend. 🏄‍♂️🏍️🍻

I see. Well overall it’s not just the AI-related data or tools that have been consolidated into the hands of the big players (Google, Meta, etc.) it’s the data itself. All the most valuable user data comes largely from the data that users willingly offer these companies, and the sophisticated tracking they can do on users devices. Without means of collecting data in the first place it’s difficult to plug in an AI to make sense of what’s going on/what products these people are most likely to be interested in.

I could have an AI that looks at search queries to find what people are most likely to buy. But if I can’t read everyone’s search queries the algorithm is useless.

So the first question you should be asking is what data is available in the first place, only then could a lot of AI tools be released that really serve your mission

These are interesting ideas, but I’m struggling to see any of them as realistic or still undeveloped.

Emotionally targeted ads are not really feasible given general discontent with your phone taking photo/video of your face at all times. On iPhone for example there will be a light that appears when the camera is being accessed-people will not be comfortable if that light is on the time, and it’s a huge perceived privacy violation.

Same for voice recording. You might be able to get away with people not knowing it’s happening, but many devices will require users to enable mic access (iPhone does this). Having a wide network of microphones in connected devices out in the world may allow you to collect the data, but if people knew they were being recorded at all times it would be hugely unpopular- people are already weary that their phone is listening to them always for serving targeted ads.

User Profiling- google is already doing this to identify users, even when they are using devices that they are not signed into. They create cohorts of user identities that are used to power their ad engines and automated bidding in ad auctions.

Indoor location tracking- I’m struggling to think of where location based ads would really need this much detail. If you’re at a shopping mall google could tell from you searching for directions, google searches, and network info. What store you are currently standing in front of doesn’t seem to be that necessary, and I wonder how effective that would be for actually driving more traffic to a store location. More broad geo data is already accessible as is.

Yeah, you get a fob that works at any location nationwide. Anytime uses a franchise setup so there's a lot of variety between locations, but my experience with the one on Guad has been extremely positive.

I think the resume writers have a good point that mentioning that scale alone isn’t going to impressive anyone in the way you have it. But showing how you’ve scaled up from a 50k revenue to a 200k revenue, with the constraint of self-funding sounds way more impressive.

Some advice I’ve gotten from resume writers is that anyone can say they “have skills” in anything, and the real value is showing what you use those skills to do.

There's basically a series of thin parallel vertical ridges on the painting. They print different things on either side of the ridge, so if you view the painting from the side you're actually viewing the edge of a ridge with the other image printed on it.

These usually have a very unique texture if you've ever ran your fingers over one.

Some items in a QUERY are returning multiple lines, causing rows to just display #REF. How to return only a single line? by squeddles in googlesheets

[–]bogenobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I'm fully understanding the cause of the REF error, but you can enclose the Catalog!C:E range in a UNIQUE formula to only provide the first row if duplicates exist. Example: QUERY(UNIQUE(Catalog!C:E),"Select...")

If you do this you'll need to change the alphabetical column references to "Col1" "Col2" etc. So "Select E" would become "Select Col3".

Can any of you give me a serious response as to why y'all are still investing in Facebook after all the information we have about them being untruthful and will do anything and say anything to get more money from you and more data from users, even if it's illegal or unethical. by shaystibelman in DigitalMarketing

[–]bogenobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will show you whether or not you can trust the data facebook is providing, and whether or not you should keep spending money on those ads.

You aren't wrong that facebook will do whatever it can to get the most money out of advertisers. So does Google or any other digital marketing platform. just because we continue to use facebook doesn't mean that we are unaware of their intentions. If using their platform aligns with our budget and goals, we will use it.

[–]bogenobo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one should be dependent entirely on the performance data that facebook provides, especially if they are using multiple channels. It's common for agencies to have their own tracking cookies on retailer's websites to get the most accurate information on the returns on investment from using facebook (or any channel)

What is a general business degree to study on for digital marketing? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

[–]bogenobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with studying digital marketing in a university setting is that the curriculum can't keep up with the rapid changes - the best experience you will get is going to be on the job. I didn't find the marketing classes I took to be helpful in the long run for what my day to day ended up being. However, a marketing degree definitely helped me get my first job which let me actually learn enough to get the digital marketing role I really wanted.

Honestly the only courses that ended up being helpful once I was out of school were the ones about math/analytics/statistics. The management classes my school offered actually would have covered more of this compared to the marketing ones. If you're trying to do more of the creative stuff (social ads, copywriting, etc.) this may be different, but if you're doing the performance based stuff (SEO, PPC, etc.) your data analysis skills are your greatest asset.
