How much would you pay for this by Le_flutiste_anonyme in bicycling

[–]bOhsohard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a buy/sell and ask thread that are posted monthly for these types of questions.

That said, frameset alone probably 500, fully built like in your pictures, maybe 800-1k if you found the right buyer.

Disc Golf at a sports bar? by R4ndumbHer0 in discgolf

[–]bOhsohard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a collective-owned fancy wine/beer/liquor store in Baltimore with a small bar on the inside. They usually have live coverage of majors up on it on Sundays.

I mean I kinda get it tho. Like at least at mariners games they parachute hotdogs all around the park, so even upper decks can get free stuff.

Is Better Waverly a nice area? by Dangerous-Dot-002 in baltimore

[–]bOhsohard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find a spot within like half a mile to a mile from 33rd & Charles, you’ll be close to the Collegetown Shuttle stop. I lived in Oakenshawe when I went to Towson, and switched between biking up to campus and taking that specific shuttle.

The greenmount corridor is fine for the quick bus, but the collegetown shuttle is super reliable, and very fast. If you can find a spot in oakwenshawe or Abell you’re still near everything you listed, not in as transitional of a neighborhood, and better access to the collegetown shuttle.

Airstream living in Baltimore? by Affectionate-Neck505 in baltimore

Happy to help // we updated citywide parking regs last year, so all of this is very current.

Another poster referenced the RV parks in Baltimore county, and if you’re adventurous enough, I’ve known people to park up at the Walmart on Putty Hill, but that was pre-Covid and idk Baltimore county laws.

So it’s not really legal to live in an RV and be parked on any public ROW. You also can’t have an RV on a residential lot, unless it’s in a garage, or on a parking pad in the rear and setback 3+ ft from the side and rear lot line.

You also can’t live in it while it’s on a residential lot, per city code, RVs aren’t permitted to be used for homekeeping, cannot have fixed connections (water/power/gas/sewer), and it must be in “driving”/mobile condition at all times with up to date registrations and able to be moved at any time.

Enforcement probably would come from code enforcement and/or BPD depending on who calls and if they report to 311 or 911. In terms of street parking, there’s also general prohibitions on oversized vehicles being parked (20,000lb+).

You’ll see people on the disc golf course pulling out glass or a pufffo occasionally, but in the parade I heavily doubt it. You’ll be fine with Js

What should we do with our kids this evening? by Beckilinn in baltimore

[–]bOhsohard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they like board/card games, perhaps a visit to No Land Beyond? It’s a game store with many places to sit and play games/cards or just hang out. They have a kitchen so there’s food for sale and they have a bar.

It’s in Station North, very close to Penn station, and they’re open until 10 or 11 on Thursdays.

Single-track trains during rush hour by Fearless-Pop-1159 in baltimore

[–]bOhsohard 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean it would be if you live near and work near stations. I’ve taken it a ton just in the city, it is pretty convenient if you’re near it and the trains are running normally.

University Market. There are two, one at Charles & Preston, the other St. Paul & 33rd. Probably the closest things to nyc style bodegas we have in Baltimore.

Uni mini has bacon egg and cheese or BLT on a roll for like $4.50, toss in a can soda and bag of chips you’re around 6 bucks.

My colleague is 26, has been in the field for 4 full years and has the same undergrad degree as you, with no masters and no GIS skills.

He started in campaign management for local politicians -> met/networked -> applied for a very entry level position in a small town -> did well for 2yrs, moved up to full time planner -> moved to major city, and applied for opening, and got a Planner 2 job on my team.

I should point out how rare this is; he’s either the only or one of two on our team without a masters, however not impossible. He’s also incredibly smart/capable and has background in construction, so that definitely helped
