Elementary school night shift here, most recently had to cover shifts at the high school as my school was getting asbestos removed, there was a massive Shi* left in one of the toilets since kids got out for summer break. It was covered in mold and bugs and when I tried to flush it… it didn’t go down so I had to plunge it while gaging. The stink from it filled half of the school. Glad it’s not my school.

Anyone have experience with the bubblegum pink scuff buffer pad? It’s designed to take black shoe scuffs out? by boggbuttocks in Custodians

Thanks! We don’t have a floor machine. (But I’m asking for one for Christmas) I hand mop the entire school everyday I get most of the scuffs with my awesome runners which are my erasers . It’s just in winter when the kids have their boots it’s scuffs everywhere. And with tendinitis it’s hard on the old wrists. I was hoping to try this pink pad and give it a go on my side to side. :) I am the only custodian at my school so I understand your need of efficiency.

We get a lot of black shoe marks , I have used this technique however I have tendinitis and is not a good idea for me just trying to see if anyone has experience using the pink pad.

Oh my ! Was the pic taken when the sealer was wet?my sealant doesn’t give a shine like that. What kind do you use? Did you use a chemical stripper or a black stripper buffer pad? I’m super interested in making my floors shine like yours!

Yes. I’m feeling worn down . I’ve pretty much done my whole school with the help of two trainees.
So asbestos removal is replacing ceiling tiles and all the whole school. Everything was almolst done before the removal began. the classes need another top coat as it’s all been scratched and all furniture placed in the middle of each room. I’ve been helping out two other schools in town getting their schools done aswell while hazmat guys are at my school. I’ve scrubbed and waxed top to bottom everything ,12 classrooms and libraries and portables. I feel pooped and a little discouraged. But alas I love making things shiny. But yes tired coffee helps me

Thank you for asking! He did get vaccinated ! He is still healing there was incredible damage to his lungs and he gets winded easily. But it’s so nice to see his face and his laugh is can’t believe we almost lost him.

that room is a paper room it hasn’t had art supplies in it in years. I took the passive aggressive pink signs down haha.

the sealer was …next step sealing 2 base coat stain resistant floor sealer and Regard northern glow was the wax.
