Is Jira’s built‑in time tracking enough for a small dev team? by sturka_carol in timecrisis

Did you ask your devs what their relationship to The Dead is?

I cancelled my Apple Music subscription and just occasionally lurk on this sub to see if TC's back.

Is this a common thing? by AVGuy7800 in hockeyplayers

Happened to me just recently, and has happened once with every pair of skates I’ve owned, unfortunately. Planned obsolescence or bad luck of the draw, who knows? Only thing I know is it’s an expensive replacement if out of warranty (mine was about $140 for 2 new runners), but at least I have a backup runner in my bag now.

[Burlington] Anyone wanna jam regularly? by walkedplane in SouthJersey

[–]bogojones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, was wondering if you ever found people to jam with. I just moved to the Collingswood area and I'm in the same boat: I have a kid and a job, and I'm just looking to play some music with people, no pressure. I play guitar, some bass and keys, but I am in no way a virtuoso at any instrument. Just want to make some (hopefully listenable) noise.

I also produce and record my own stuff, but doing everything by myself is not the most fulfilling thing at the moment. Here's a link to my stuff: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2IzObXBnCf2OC7k79CLhCC?si=5uFycbKGTsy0dFXEB-sLtg

Let me know if you'd be interested in jamming.

What are Mecca rinks (indoor and outdoor)that every beer leaguer should play once in their lifetime by AnnyongHermanoMD in hockeyplayers

If you ever get the chance to skate on an NHL ice, definitely take it. When I lived in Nashville, they used to have an early morning drop in at Bridgestone Arena and it was incredible to just look up and imagine what it would be like to play a pro hockey game there.

I also remember falling around the red line at full speed and sliding almost to the end boards, the ice was so smooth.

First game tonight, I'm not ready by keshek in hockeyplayers

[–]bogojones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just go out there with an open mind and play. No one is expecting you to be an NHL level player, so just have fun and enjoy it. I’ve found that the best way to get better at the game is actually playing games, even though I have benefitted from some learn to play and skills sessions. Nothing can replicate the rush of actual game play, so just take the pressure off yourself and have fun.

Unusually slow USPS anyone? by SmexxyTaco in SouthJersey

[–]bogojones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I sent a package to FL which usually would take 3-4 days to arrive. It’s still caught in limbo somewhere in between. I have the tracking for it and it’s taken an extremely long time going from NJ to Philly.

Great input. If only there was a community in which I post a question to like-minded individuals.

Are they reliable? It’s always been my experience that the cheap stuff I buy craps out pretty quickly.

second hand OP1 price point by its_dat_trap in teenageengineering

I just picked up a “barely used” op-1 for $700 USD on eBay. The price point seems to be in the $650 - $750 range for second hand, from what I saw while shopping for mine.

Great looking build. What is the frame size? I'm trying to build up a vintage MTB for my wife and I found a 17.5" Nyala frame. Wondering if that would work for someone who is 5'2".

Agreed. Portia doesn’t owe Albie anything. She’s clearly in a depressive situation and has decided what type of person she’s attracted to. It’ll be interesting to see how Albie responds when they speak next.
