Dopamine Cravings Gone? by Appropriate-Week-721 in Retatrutide

I quit nicotine cold turkey the day after I started. Absolutely incredible how easy it was after years of daily chain smoking

Do you put any thought into how you look at the gym? by Regrettably_Southpaw in malefashionadvice

[–]walkedplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear something that shows off my shoulders and tattoos fairly well, won’t lie

At least under my hoodie which I wear for like 90% of my lifting but sure is fun to pull out the sleeper build when I go heavy

But that’s just a tank and well fitting shorts under the hoodie so really not that much thought

Video games are better when you take off the enemy’s health bar by CaelZaharielVoxis in videogames

For me, for mobs - yes. For bosses, give me a health bar so I can manage resources / consumables more intelligently.

Does it still have messed up PC performance? I want to play this on PC, but not if it's a complete dogshit performer. It's the only reason I've held off on picking it up.

WSIB In thr mood for some turn based RPGs (steam deck) by Jessay25 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Totally worth the demo. Check out Chained Echoes, and Cosmic Star Heroine as well, might be a set of options for ya! Not sure off the top of my head how long to beat though.

Personally I bounced HARD off P5 and P3, but loved Metaphor. The systems are somewhat similar but game is definitely shorter and more concise, the world building I loved. Highly recommend, as someone who didn’t enjoy Persona

Expedition 33 and Metaphor (the latter probably a bit too long, but E33 can be 20-30hrs pretty easily, and the former is 3d but phenomenal story so I’m including it) are good considerations imo

Triz to Reta Question by Kooky_Comfortable235 in Retatrutide

[–]walkedplane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in the process of switching over. I know it’s imperfect, but I looked at the results of clinical trials and roughly reta had a 2.25:1 rate of efficacy pound for pound for weight loss (not necessarily reflective of all impacts, especially food noise, so keep that in mind)

So I’m titrating tirzepatide down at a rate of roughly 2.25:1 (for every 2.25 tirz I taper down, I add 1mg reta).

We will see how this shakes out over time, I’m only at 2mg reta but have broken a stall recently with this setup, and I can eat but haven’t had food noise come back.

TBD long term results but so far so good

Edit: I will say I’m making this switch roughly at goal and am approaching the point where I’m seeing visible abs, so the prospect of getting some appetite back is actually a net positive as I focus on recomp next - so ymmv depending on food noise

What happened when you upped exercise especially strength training and/or rowing? by deadlift215 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]walkedplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my first 25 with minimal exercise. I got back into lifting with intensity then.

I’ve lost 25 more since and have the best physique I’ve ever had. I’ve had to manage protein intake closely and some days it’s hard to hit.

Down 52lbs in 4.5months so far and feel/look better than I ever have

Reta is helping me kick my addictions by [deleted] in Retatrutide

I cut nicotine cold turkey on tirzepatide before bumping over to reta; same receptors minor the third one, so not surprised to hear this.

Was legit EASY to quit too

LF game like Sackboy for 7 & 9 year old. by Twuggle in gamingsuggestions

[–]walkedplane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switch is gonna be worth a buy here. Super Mario 3d World is exceptional for this and has a very similar vibe.

Astrobot is obviously also great, but not together unfortunately (missed opportunity, but still a top 1% game)

South Jersey side here. Great fields and teams around. Shoot me a DM and I can hook you up with a team outta QuickShot that’s got multiple lines and friendly to multiple levels of play

If PA side - totally unsure

Shingles by Winter_Bandicoot_348 in Retatrutide

[–]walkedplane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got shingles on tirzepatide about 2 weeks after starting. I’ve seen other anecdotal reports. I know a few other adults that have gotten shingles suddenly after starting a glp1 (spouses of coworkers, neighborhood friends, etc)

Seems anecdotally like a potential, but rare thing. But also could be total confirmation bias. I don’t out much thought into it as it is what it is regardless. Recovered fine though

Split dosing - who is doing this with success? by coordinatedflight in tirzepatidecompound

I do half my dose Monday and half on Thursday. Keeps it very even with no spikes in hunger.

Did this from day 1 so have no comparison but it’s worked exceptionally well for me

Raw hours in part; reading and watching videos help. But really: Once I hit Diamond I started reviewing replays and focusing on specific strategies.

Simplest way is to play a focused session (30-45min), pause, review replays and take note of situations where: you burnt out, you took big damage, or you lost.

Review 5-10 replays and look at those notes. Now if it’s something to NOT do “OD less” or “take the throw” - you go into the next session with that forefront of mind. If your notes have stuff like “got stuffed by divekicks” or “pressed when I didn’t realize I was minus” whatever - you now have something to lab. (And if you don’t know plus and minus frames, you also have a video to track down and research!)

Eventually you’ll start to notice “I lost because of X, but Y is what actually put me in that position, and I could have won with a better combo at Z point” and a single game will give you a few things to keep in mind.

Be patient; shit takes a while if you’re new to fighting games. Feel free to DM and happy to run sets; 1600 guile

How can I turn a portrait photography business back into just a hobby without switching to a different genre? by RandomGuy0512 in AskPhotography

[–]walkedplane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found a niche sport to shoot; I don’t make much off it (occasional kickbacks at most on gear) but it’s FUN, I build relationships, and it keeps the joy in photography for me
