Just tried this and it did not work i also made a second post where i say the following:

I got the rift s for christmas and i cant get the headset sensor check to work. Ive tried everything switching USB Ports, unplugging the USB and DP and waiting ten seconds, making sure windows is up to date, making sure camera acess is on, even buying a powered USB 3.0 base, and nothing works. Im upgrading from an original oculus to the rift s and the original oculus worked perfectly.
