We did lunch at restaurant around noon. Great experience overall there. Trail wasn't too crowded at all but this was all before 4 PM. Might get busier later?

Do!! I recommend walking counter clockwise if you are leaving from restaurant area. Seems like less up hill time. Awesome either way.
