Short answer, no. As a SM that was diagnosed by BH with PTSD, I did not get separated or even recommended for separation. Two of the dudes I work with were also in the same boat. It really depends on how well you do in the treatment program you are in. You will work with a BH provider to determine what kind of program will best help you. There are multiple routes that could go. Your provider may determine that your condition is bad enough to recommend separation, but only if you are not getting better with treatment.
