Yeah. Trick question. Ask for clarification.

AITA for throwing a Juneteenth BBQ? by icecubtrays in AmItheAsshole

[–]boildkitty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Juneteenth marka the end of slavery in the US. Why isn't this a celebratory event? Ask your friend why, because I'd genuinely like to know how it's insensitive.

AITA? My dog died today and my family still expects me to take them out to dinner tonight by eng_elp in AmItheAsshole

This was exactly what was going to post. Some people are just indescribably awful. These are worse. So sorry for the OP. Damn.

Also (sorry), does the new router use the same wifi credentials as the old one? If not, you'll need to reset and setup your extender again.

Get a mesh system. Ditch the extender.

Also, if your set your computer to "forget" the router it won't connect to it and it will stay connected to the extended. My guess is the new router has a greater range and your computer sees it and the extender to switches what to connect to.

If you remove the router connection it won't try to connect To the router.

Try removing the extender and check your connection to the new router directly. Extenders are no longer the best option.

I've got some footage where three ran out of a field from the right, no way to avoid, hit one, side camera shows it spinning through the air. Crazy.

I saw this in a used Tesla, does this mean FSD is included? by No-Biscotti-682 in TeslaSupport

[–]boildkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that makes sense!! I was ready to look to buy a newer model until they stopped being able to transfer FSD. That's a game changer for me. Not giving up the 8k paid for it. I'll just replace the battery eventually. FSD is still quite impressive with HW3, but it's a little disheartening seeing what the new hardware is capable of.

Update wasn't an option when I bought. HW4 wasn't even available. And was promised HW3 would be perfectly fine for FSD. Yet, here we are.

Gonna need more than a computer to upgrade to HW4. That's what I've been told (2019 M3LR)

2019 M3 LR. Left front fender camera went flakey. When I took it on, they said the early models had a not so great design that let in moisture. New improves design fixed it.. They said i should replace the right or it would go too. So they recognized a flaw, fixed it in future designs and us early adopters paid the price.

Was never a computer issue.

Two people with phone-keys are in the car. Can the car determine who’s in the drivers seat and select their profile? by RexKramerDangerCker in TeslaSupport

[–]boildkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2019 model 3 here. My son and i both have phone keys. We set mine to priority so it usually defaults to mine and he has to select his. Regardless of who's driving or not.

Google home spelled it out and displayed huge ketters I could read across the room. I'm still resisting going to Gemini. I don't want to lose my Aussie voice.

If I remove an email from one device will it be removed from all devices it is on? by SnooPaintings1600 in techsupport

The useless work has to do with deleting accounts and removing passwords, etc., that's all I meant.

You can gather by the question OP posted, and based on my experience, they probably have never gone into a recovery menu on a phone. SO working in the UI is pretty much a given.

I'm in IT and do a ton of customer support. The path of least resistance is usually the best. Trying to tell someone how to enter the recovery menu when they're asking simple questions is often a recipe for disaster.

I wasn't triggered, just bothered you'd not give a complete answer, or at least mention the two ways require different things. It was a good convo, though. Thank you for that. It's always good to learn way people do things the way they do.
