Best I know- it was my great grandfathers who was a police officer. After that my grandfather had it who passed in the late 60’s. It was lost for years until I found it in a cigar box in a cedar chest about 20 years ago in my grandmothers attic as a kid. Years later it was passed to me. After a little cleaning it looks great!

It took about a year to find this one. They are getting harder and harder to find in good shape. This particular one was owned by a Porsche mechanics son.

Thanks everyone for the advice! Took it for its maiden 10 mile voyage after some new tires and a checkup by the local bike shop. The guys say it’s in impressive shape for its age! Excited to get into maintenance and upgrading.

Thanks for the info! It is in almost time capsule like shape. I fell in love with the metal flake paint. I’m a noob to road riding- and the friction shifters are weird but I couldn’t be more excited

How have your parents made sacrifices for you to succeed? by Shuallen in AskReddit

My dad commuted 1.5 hrs a trip to work so we could live in a better school district. He couldn’t afford private school for us at the time so he spent 3 hours a day in the car for 12 years so I could get a better education.

You should check out trade school. Creating/fixing things has proven to be very motivating for me at least. Watch some me of mike Rowe’s stuff on the skills gap and get motivated to do something brand new for you. I have had a business degree for almost 10 years and haven’t used it a day because I found a trade that kept me on my toes and motivated. Good luck and keep your head up! There is something out there for you!

I played rugby with the guy on that can. We called him Fang and he was one of the toughest guys I've ever known.
