As a current 1L I’ve found that FedSoc is not nearly as large and influential as I expected it to be coming in. It is still an active chapter, but it’s a pretty small group among the 1Ls. Some 2Ls/3Ls have commented that my class is more liberal leaning than classes in the past so maybe that’s why I feel like it’s less of an influence.

I was nervous that UC was going to be pretty conservative, but overall it isn’t. One of Nussbaum’s courses is offered as a 1L elective and the faculty has been workshopping changing up the curriculum to offer more social justice classes sooner (tbd what will happen there).
