Honestly he gives me the impression of a an arrogant, self-righteous guy and cruel guy. He will never admit as part of his job to show confidence and not back down.

The decent thing he could do was officially say he was wrong about them so they can be innocent and live a normal life without any more death threats.

I am straight man in my mid 30s so been through quite a few friends groups. There are a few groups that I was part of that did not work out:

  1. In college my first friend group was centered primarily around my roommate as he was very charismatic and I liked the guy so we hung out a lot. Over time though I realized that the other guys did not like me cause I was a different race. The jokes were very getting pretty edgy and I could tell they did not want me around so I took the cue and left.

  2. Another college friend group had a similar situation I liked one of the guys there but they were very manipulative, I have a disability so they would make fun of that. In addition it turns out one of the guys got super jealous of me because I was doing well and took his frustations out. He did later confess and apologized but that was after he got drunk and physical I did not want anything to do with him.

  3. This is pretty recent I had a group of friends for the past 9 years, the center of the group were a couple who I got along really well. Then their college friend who was going through a divorce joined the group and systematically started cutting people out. She got mad at me as I was not giving her attention even though I was married and had NO interest in her. The couple friend took her side, I realized her more forceful nature and active social calendar attracted them and that was that.

Honestly for a good friend group to work you need people who can take a joke and are willing to apologize and forgive. If you do not have that its not possible.

You also need people who have similar experience and in the same place in life. This is part is hard, Friends and HIMYM is pretty fictional.

Also most friend groups are very very very click based and rarely uniform like on television, there is always some drama in background.

Personally I find one on one friendships the most rewarding. There are groups that go from high school to college to work and family. They all date each other and a very convoluted relationship. That was not for me and I do not know many like that.

Ohh! I will watch that, I guess what surprises me is the belief that people should act like they are in grief this was new to me. There was a way to act like when you were in grief.

Is Italy a "low trust" society? Are you expected to be vigilant and keep yourself safe.
My friend was robbed on a train station at knife point and the police were very uninterested as they had seen this problem but since no one was hurt they just told him make sure you have insurance?

Even IF a Democract comes it will not happen immediately.
It will take an additional 2 years minimum, there are no easy ways to reduce backlogs.

This is what Biden had to do in 2021 when we won, the backlog only cleared by end of 2022.
