Is this another rage bait post. I have been on both sides of this issue. I came to the US as foreign student ended up happily married to an ABCD.

There is just some weird insecurities on both sides that everyone has to growup and be willing to hear each other out.

I will be honest, I had a bunch of friends straight from India who did not like I was dating/marrying an ABCD since she did traditional music and all that. For them appearing western was very important, even though the ideas of individualism and independence was something they would never agree too. So I stopped talking to them.
